      B6 vs. Mint Tea

For the past 4 months I have been at this site and since that time I have been hearing about B6. Yestersay I bought some. I took two 50mg tablets and 4:10 and two more at 11:30 when I went to bed. Last night I have what I am going to call my first LD. I did not really do a RC but I just realized how stupid what was going on was. And that feeling you get when you know you are lucid for the first time is amazing. But I dont think that 4 months of failure was broken when I just happend to take B6. Although my recall was bad and I can only remember setting this little kid on fire (to test if I was dreaming....WHAT!!!) and going back to my room to have sex. In between those to points I cant remember anything.

So with that I think that mint tea is much better then B6 for fostering better recall. But what people want is the LD so obviously B6 is better. Iam not a Dream Guide nor an I experienced enough to give great advice, but I think that the combination of Mint Tea and B6 could raise the chance of someone getting an LD and remebering it. I will be trying this tonight if any one else what to test this "theory" along with me.

      I had an LD!!!

Don't tell me that's your RC..

It seems that mint tea and B6 are meant for two different purposes as you state in your post. I too believe that a combination of those two would be most effictive to achieve both an LD and good recalling. Of course you can also improve your dream recalling by keeping a dream journal to log your dreams in when you awake.

That RC is one for me!
I would love to kick small children... right in the face, setting them on fire and stuff like that
When blood or the fire aren't properly animated I must be in a dream!

After hearing that mint tea was good a few days ago I got realy into drinking this realy strong mix that I found in my house. I steep it for 10 min and the smell of the steam is so strong it makes my eyes water when I drink it. I like really strong flavored things so that is good. I have found that I really like it. I cant give much feed back as to how much it helps me cause I started drinking it the night after I had my first LD (and started trying for that matter) so of course I dont notice much change.

Yeah, B6 and mint tea do very different things.
      B6 does nothing for me

Mint tea however... does. I get stronger, deeper, more vivid dreams
What I pulled up on it was that its used for anti aging, as the SMELL stimulates the hypothalamus and hormonal release
In other words - you could put Vicks Vapo-rub on your face, and you'll probably get the same effect

In fact, thats what Im doing - but Ive been using the tea on top of that
Not sure which one is working - or if its both

No setting the kid on fire was after I became lucid.

Were you just kidding about the Vicks Vapor rub?

Yeah, i did 300mg of b6 last night, and remembered no dreams, nor lucidness. However, I slept less, yet felt pretty energized upon waking.

      Hi, first post here.
I've been reading on this board for a couple weeks. Last week, I bought some peppermint tea. I've had a glass of it every night for the 7 nights, before going to bed, and each night, I have remembered at least 2 dreams.
I don't know if it will work for everyone, but it definitely does for me. I recommend it.

Regular Lemon Tea, with 300-400mg ofb6 dissolved in, AND VapoRub on my chest (in case mint tea's smell effects how it works on the body).

All this immediately before sleep, then sleepytime. Ill tell all hwo it works about 24 hrs from now!
      Bye!

I read on one of these threads that tumeric can have a good effect on dreaming, and so I decided to give it a go, along with mint tea. I put about a teaspoon of tumeric into half-glass of warm water, then drunk as fast as possible - tastes almost as bad as Kava! Be careful too because not long after I was running to the dunny! Ok so I've had my tumeric, and now I am sipping a mix of green tea and mint tea (green tea has a small stimulatory effect that I hope will help). I'm going to wait for it to all 'soak in' then see what happens... Wish me luck!

I know that if you can get salvia it will induce lucidity.

I made a post about it recently here:

I have a couple questions, but first:

I was in my local health food store today, looking for some Vitamin B6 and Mint Tea to help with my dream scape, when I see a bottle of extract labled Wormwood. I immediatley think "Holy shit, i know that's what absinthe is made out of!" however, the active ingredient said Artemisia absinthium and I was pretty sure that wasn't the 'good' ingredient in absinthe, but I couldn't remember. I got it anyways (later on in the car it hit me that the ingredient is Thujone).

Do you think that the wormwood extract would have any impact on my dreams?

      AND

I have been looking into Salvia extract as well. http://iamshaman.com/eshop/10Expand.asp?Pr...ductCode=SE-HOZ
I know that it says not for human consumption, however it also compares their product to Daniel Siebert, who made this http://sagewisdom.org/salviashop.html (scroll down to Sage Goddess Emerald Essence) which is for human consumption. Note that both of these tinctures contain Salvinorin A (the hallucinogenic chemical).
I'm almost positive that both these Salvia extracts will help my dreaming. Also, the I Am Shaman tincture contains mint leaves .
If anyone has any experience with these tinctures, you're help is greatly appreciated

Salvia isn't going to help your dreaming in the way mint tea or B6 might. Salvia will provide you a psychedelic sort of experience. You might be able to apply what it shows you to your dreaming, but as far as lucidity or recall, it's had no real bearing on either for me. If you expect to fall asleep & dream before you start getting pulled into salvia space, well, I wouldn't count on that.

Salvia experiences are one of those occasions where the ineffectiveness of language is sorely apparent. All the descriptions you hear are close and kinda like and reminds me of but they only make sense to someone who has been there. I did a lot of research & preparation before I tried it, and none of it really gets the point across. When salvia is compared to a lucid dream or an OBE, it's because there's not a more accurate way to describe the actual effects.

As far as I know, science has not been able to identify any actual psycoactive ingredients in wormwood, but it's not something I've investigated recently.

On topic, I started using B6, 50mg the first two nights, nothing noticeable, 100mg the two after, and recall was slightly improved. I'm going to stick with 100mg/night for a while in case it's the sort of thing that improves with time rather than a larger dose.

I just took 250 mg. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens. Does Tylenol PM make you less likely to dream? Sometimes I have to take it so that I can fall asleep.

      Salvia & Calea

I think the salvia tincture at www.sagewisdom.org is best for salvia because it is gradual and the peak lasts longer. Smoking salvia is too intense for me and the peak is not long enough for me to get into the lucid state.

If you go to www.salviasupply.com you can see some funny videos of people getting their minds blown from the intensity of salvia smoke. As you can see it is too intense to be appropriate for a lucid experience.

      www.shamanshop.net also has salvia tincture.

Both also sell Calea which is a much milder herb also used by shamans that will give you incredible dreams and lucidity.

Drinking tea in general may induce lucidity because it mimics the Wake-Back to Bed method, if you end up having to get out of bed to pee, that is. I haven't tried mint specifically - I'll give it a shot.
