      WILDing on School Nights?

I was wondering if WILDing during school nights was a good idea? Will I still get a good sleep if I am lucid dreaming? Or is it better to do it on weekends. I want to be able to lucid dream since my day is pretty much school, work, homework, bed and this would be my 'escape' so to call it. Not that I'm trying to escape life but its just I dont have any time to myself throughout the day.

Hmm I don't think it's a good idea to WILD when you're really busy with exams or homework, but if you have a pretty uneventful school week then why not. I find that it's easier to enter sleep paralysis when you're rather exhausted. It sounds counterproductive but I've had quite a few episodes of WILD on nights that I'm really tired and restless!

Lucid Dreaming will not cause you to lose much sleep. As long as you are still getting sufficient deep sleep throughout the night. If you are waking up severl times a night to attempt a WILD, then you will lose the sleep that you would've had while you were awake. I wouldn't recommend multiple WILD attempts if you have to get up early the next day. I like to DILD during the week and WILD on weekends, but you can see what works best for you. Good Luck with the dreaming!

Or MILD on the weekdays and WILD on the weekends...whatever. I like MILD.

If you do WILD during the week you will be very sleepy the next day. Maybe once a week and on weekends?

Easiest thing to do ever. I don't know about you but whenever I have to get up for something it makes me extra tired. Set your alarm for about 30/40 minutes before and wild. That leaves you with about 15 minutes to lucid dream. Then your second alarm wakes you up for school.

I personally have never had a lucid dream before 6 or 7 in the morning, making it nearly impossible to LD on the weekdays. Wouldn't it be nice if school started at 10:30?

I wouldn't recommend WILDing on school nights. The reason being that it's very hard to WILD unless you get up during the night, which means that you will either lose a little sleep or you will have to plan to go to bed much earlier than normal. Also, you will be feeling that mental pressure of "I can't take too long doing this" and "I have to get up early" which will make it harder to relax.

WILDs are also far easier if you have already had a lot of sleep. So it's best to try WILDing when you have a chance to sleep in or take a nap. In other words, weekends are probably best for WILDs. Not to mention, both days you'll have a few chances to try it if you're able to sleep in.

I tried WILDing once, tried it two times in a row, failed, and lost my sleep. I couldn't sleep the whole night, and went to school red-eyed.
So, I don't think it will be such a good idea to take a risk like that.
Try WILDing on weekends or before a holiday, if you become good at it and feel normal the next day, I guess you can try having an LD the night before a school.

I wouldn't do anything that will affect your sleep scedual on school nights. What you can do is if you wake up in the middle of the night, attempt Wild. You won't lose any sleep that way.
