Trouble shouting
I first started lucid dreaming seriously 5 years ago. I came to Dreamviews often and honed my abilities. Since I stopped coming here I maintained fairly consistent lucid experiences, about once a month. Their intensity definitely lessened over the years with a few exceptions. So recently I've been back at it and having more lucid dreams. But now I have a new problem that I've not had before. It's happened twice in a row now. In the past I would always shout commands to change the vividness and brightness of a dream. But now, it seems, I can't shout at all. My voice has been non existent. I try to shout but nothing comes out. It used to seem very powerful in my dreams. I know this is just a silly little mental block but I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this. Shouting commands has always been my go-to fix for a fading dream. Of course I could spin but I don't want accept being mute in my dreams.

Like you said, it just a mental block. Once conquered a single time, you may not have trouble shouting again. I would just pretending your voice/throat is just dry and get something to drink. Then try to shout again. You could also create a "speaking" pill. Swallow it and you should be able to shout once again. Maybe a DC has stolen your voice (littl mermaid style) and after you kiss a hot princess or handsome prince (whatever your preference), you will be able to speak again. You may be able to find a DC doctor, and he may be able to help. Just think up ways to break that silence. You will be surprised how well these things can work!

All good ideas. The water one sounds good since it feels like my mouth is dry when I can't yell. The hot princess idea sounds great regardless of the problem. Maybe I can start by humming. Or I can try shouting "Voice return to me!" ...oh wait...
