Thread: breathing in a dream

One of the reality checks is to plug your nose and try and hold your breath. If you can still breathe, then you're dreaming.

I hope that somewhat answers your questions about breathing.

Blinking I don't know about...

you just reminded me of one of the coolest feelings in LDs (which is breathing through your nose while it is pinched). Feels so cool xD

I blink consciously in LDs at least.. if you focus on breathing you can naturally breath like in real life, but I think that without focusing there is no breathing effect automatically taking place.

Although sometimes when I have run in normal dreams I was exhausted.

I've never noticed myself breathing or blinking in my dreams.

i can notice myself breathing but i dont blink

I can close my eyes if i want but theres no blinking

Since you dont really think about it, it doesnt happen. Only things that you pay attention to are going to happen/exist

yeah that too

only if I conciously do either. I close my dream eyes to help me teleport some where else.

Just like in real life you don't usually pay attention to it unless you stop to notice it, but we don't really need to breath in dreams because otherwise we wouldn't be able to travel in space if we wanted to.
