I just WILD'd!
OMG, awesome! haha :boogie:
So for lunch I had a hot pocket pepperoni, Nature Valley granola bar (honey and oats), hot cheetoes, and an Apricot Kerns (fruit drink). That was around 12ish
So was watching TV and decided I'd try to take a nap. I wasn't feeling all that tired, but MILDing just hasn't been working
So started in a upright fetal position (TV was on). Started with HI that was like waves of light. Like imagine looking down upon a pond and someone's making waves, but the waves are light. Maybe this HI can be attributed as I was at the beach yesterday? My HI is usually spots of light then color. While doing this, I was counting (got up to 90ish. Once I started HI, I decided to switch to thinking "I am lucid"), HI later turned to a light blue and washed over, and dark objects trying to form, but nothing happened
That didn't work, so turned off the TV and just layed flat (I'm on the couch). Tried that for a bit but was feeling uncomfortable so layed on my side in a crouched position ( I know King Yoshi does this where he changes position after every 10mins and seems to work well for him. I didn't plan on changing, but seems to have worked for me as well)
I don't remember any HI, but I'm suddenly standing on my parent's bathroom counter/ sink. There's a huge mirror which I see myself in and I looked normal. I had an expression of questioning I think I could describe it as (head cocked slightly like a dog). I decided to lift the roof off my house (I have had this occur before... the want to lift the roof of my house or other places, lol). I was struggling at first, legs shaking. Then like magic, the weight of the roof became almost nothing and I lifted it up! But I wasn't centered properly and instead of the house lifting straight up, I sort of went up, and shifted sideways. You know how your adrenalin kick in and your heart skips a beat when something happens, or if you're driving and you catch someone pulling over on you? I got that same feeling when the roof went to the side.
I happened to look at my right hand as saw that my silver paper wrist band was on it even though it's actually on my left wrist, but I don't think that was my trigger. I just told myself, "I'm dreaming. Let's fix this." I then got immense ringing in my ears. I started to push up on the roof to reposition it. I then started to loose the dream and started to wash out and said, "Hold on a second. Let's relax and regain." The ringing went away and the dream started to reform (washed out color now). Then the ringing came back and I knew I was going to loose it. Dream washed out while ringing persisted. I tried to keep it, but then it changed to almost this perspective of me flying towards my front door. View was tunneled with soft light and soft focus. I approached the door and then woke up
I then exlaimed, "Yah! All right, finally!" and jumped on here :D
Now, before I go to bed, I try to recite my "I know when I am dreaming" or "I will become lucid" mantras, but I've never become lucid for a MILD/ DILD, but then when I really didn't recite my mantra (when I was in my 3rd position coz I just rolled over and started counting) when in my dream I just thought, "I'm dreaming" and became lucid, why is that? It just seemed weird. Maybe because my mantra was still in my head and I fell into REM very quickly?
Anyway, I'm still really excited. Finally had an LD after 3wks of trying. It was a 2min dream and I was lucid for about a min of it, so that's very cool. Maybe I should try WILDing again after a lunch and try it again. Maybe WILDing is best for me :D

I'm the exact opposite my only LDs have been from MILD/DILD, I am unable to WILD although I keep trying. It is apparently a difficult skill to learn, so congratz!

Not going to bother with a new thread
DILD last night
Had this dream I was walking down a dirt road. Landscape was light forest to my left, but mostly grasses. To my right was a little more heavily forested. There was some sort of Avatar creature that looked like... well can't remember. So walked towards it to check it out. For some reason, I climbed up a tree (I think I was chased up there). Then chilled and noticed 3 guys walking down the road. Then I looked towards a tree that had been cut at my level (maybe about 30ft off the ground). There was an animal there and so jumped over to it. I then happened to look at my landing spot and "I'm dreaming" just came out and became lucid. Then I remember seeing a face (not sure if it was me looking at "me"), then the dream ended
Got the adrenal feeling and very slight ringing, and then washed out
:)

cool dude you are progressing! I wish you many more LD's!

Ok, I think I'm just going to make this my "ask about LD's" thread, haha. I don't want to bother going all over in different threads to find an appropriate thread to post in
I've mentioned in another thread that I don't normally feel in dreams. I can be scared, but not have the emotion itself of being scared. I'm just scared
When I have an LD, I get an adrenal rush and an actual excited feeling (Almost like your heart skips a beat)
I had about 6 dreams last night (my record so far was 5, lol). 2 were these Harry Potter-like dreams, but more in the sense that a DC (who was Ron, though may not have sounded like him) and I were using wands and fighting a quick skirmish of bad guys. Anyways, there were a few times where I felt like I was actually thinking commands, but didn't have the feeling I've felt from becoming lucid before. So can't tell if my dream was doing the thinking, or if I was doing it... though I'm leaning towards me doing it breifly
Also at some point I RC'd with my finger through my hand. It didn't work, so I looked up and said "common work", and my finger then went into my palm, then had a blue glow around it (someone had a pic of a hand with a hole in it in their sig, and looked like that). Did not become lucid though
You think it was just a poor quality lucid where I actually was lucid and thinking the commands, but not lucid enough to control my dream?
GF called me a bit ago and said she had a dream where she counted her fingers and she had 6. Lol, just thought I'd share that :P

Last night(6-23) I was able to become lucid, and was probably my longest lucid yet. About 20seconds I'd guess
I usually become lucid, but start to loose it within 5 and it goes away within 10. I think it's more that I'm starting to wake up, not because I'm excited. But this time I didn't become excited. I just realized it, and said "stabilize" and "clarity". I was flying... big whoop. Landed and then I lost it and dreamed normally for the rest of the dream, but was cool. I didn't do an RC, and should really work on that. Odd that I just became lucid... but it's what sually happens
Hopefully now that I've talked about this, that lucidity is in my mind and I can do it again tonight, lol. I seem to have better recall when I've been on here and my mind is in that mindset
Just thought I'd share. My last lucid was back in March (My recall count isn't up to date though as I'm now over 300 recalled)

wow man! I am trying to have LD's, but nothing seems to work, so 20 secods of LD sounds really great to me!:D

hehe, a mini journal, cool lucids there!

So, double DILD last night! Was awesome... kind of, lol
Without going into a lot of detail about it, it was Star Trek like because of the uniforms we had on and teleporters. I had teleported into the room, but my hand was wierd. I somehow gained fingers. I had the tech guy teleport my hand. Hand was still messed up. I saw 5 fingers, but when I counted them by sight, I got 7. So I move my fingers as I count and then there're 7 fingers. Become lucid! Not sure what I did exactly, but I lost lucidity shortly after. Start to talk to some others that have come in the room, and still trying to work on my hand. Put in the teleporter, still no work. I saw 5, but counted more. Move fingers as I count and got 6... little better, lol. Become lucid again. Hold on to it, but don't do much. Try to talk to a girl that's at some computers (And was cute anyway), but start to lose lucidity. Everything kind of blurred and became lines... like a poor quality video, and then lost lucidity. I finally got my hand fixed after
And the last 2 nights, I haven't recalled dreams until after 5am. There's a bird outside my window and it wakes me up around that time THEN I get my dreams (about 3 good ones). Should really try to study up on WBTB techniques
Also need to work on stabilizing dreams when I become lucid. Have only done it once

Awesome. Longest LD I've had, and did multiple RC's throughout!
In a math class, and Professer Lupin was the teacher (Harry Potter dream, haha). Failed a test, and remember seeing a 67% on another. Easy stuff though so ask Lupin if he'd help me ( I tihnk I ad to pass the class)
Then standing in a hall outside a door. Was like a tour group. I was bored and looked behind me and stared out a window at the stars (which were people dressed in white). Person giving "tour" said, "Aaron, are you dreaming?" (day dreaming). Went back to group and pinched my nose. FAIL! Did it 2 more time, HAHA! So I decided to go down some stairs. Saw Ginny. Went back up stairs to group and was kneeling and counted my fingers, pass, but I wiggle my fingers as well (how I finish the RC) and my skin felt tight. Count again and pass, skin still feels tight, and then I notice my fingers are a little shorter than normal (Think BK commercial, "I have these tiny hands" but only my fingers), ok, so that's a fail for normal fingers. I try to push my finger through my palm. Pass. I try more times and push harder and think "Go though my hand! Pass through my hand!", and I can even feel my tendons in my hands (I can feel them normally), so that RC is a pass, but I think I do another nose pinch to be sure and it fails. Then Ginny is there and I take her up some stairs to the "dorms" or w/e they have in HP
Neville says to come back, but I try to close a door. Won't move so I do this force push thing saying, "Close" and it works. Ginny is then sitting in a chair, and I pick her up and move her to a sofa. She changes into Meg Griffin for some reason, lol
So that's it. Pretty cool. I think I was more passive lucid in this dream than active, but I'm pretty sure I knew I was dreaming the whole time... especially with so many RCs that I was double and tripple checking. I've only become lucid from finger counting, so it was cool to see how the RC for nose pinching works. Now to get the finger through palm RC to fail to see how that is. A very fun dream for me even though not anything really exciting happened
At most, it was an 8min dream (alarm goes off every 9 mins[snooze mode] so assume under a min to fall asleep), I was prob lucid for about 5mins. Longest is usually 10sec, lol!

Congrats :D. You've accomplished a great feat.

Became lucid again last night. Was on these wierd stair things when at a school. For some reason, I could only make left turns. I'm not sure if I had the dream before (I've had 3 nights of dreams this week that I never wrote down so perhaps was from one of those) but in my dream thought, "I've dreamed this before..." I became lucid looked around and saw other students and then lost lucidity and kept dreaming
I should prob take all these and put them in the DJ part of my profile or w/e. But does anyone read those? I think here it gets more views and it's fun to share them :)
It's an hr before I usually go to bed, but going to see if I can get into SP tonight

In regards to your OP, I don't think you're performing MILD the right way. It's not just about a mantra. In a way, it's not about the words at all. You have to know in your head exactly what you're trying to do. So basically it's not the words that you're repeating, but the IDEA. I believe that if someone were to follow Laberges MILD tech properly, within a few nights the lucid dreams will start flowing. One of the most important steps is visualizing yourself catching a dream sign and becoming lucid. When I first began, MILD never worked for me. But once I got into the right state of mind it started working ALOT. Nowadays, all I need to do is sleep for at least 7 hours, think about lucid dreaming, and I'll have an awesome LD. I could probably lucid dream every morning if I wanted to but umm... Can't stop playing Xbox live.
