Where do your dreams unfold?

I've only had 3 lucid dreams, all were around 6 months ago.
Being distracted by life I haven't had one since. I've decided to try again by
reviewing the tutorials provided on this site for a MILD for now and preparing a journal.

When I entered my first 2 LD I was in rooms of my house, the other I was in a warehouse
with nothing in it, like in a game's "create mode". I very much enjoyed the latter, as I was
able to fly for the first time without being distracted. Is it common to begin a LD in a blank slate?
Is their a most common place for dreams to start? Do you dreams take you to random places and go from there? :)

I've read of the visualization technique, could this help with the process of going someone in particular if the place is made up in one's mind?

Most of the time my dreams seem to occur in places that mimic real life but are different in various ways, I never started out in a loading program though =D.

Give the visualization a try, couldent hurt!
