Jet Lagged
I arrived home in Chicago yesterday evening after a week in Germany followed by a week in China.
Its a 14 hour time difference between Chicago and China.
I had some nice lucids while away. When you travel east it seems easier to get into the time zone and after a night or two I was able to get lucid easily.
I had a cool WILD in China. It was an OOBE type dream where I felt strong SP and then rolled out. I floated around in the black and then my hotel room rendered around me. I then flew through the walls into other rooms. After about 4 rooms I found a room with a guy asleep in bed. I was laughing while trying to wake him up - I wanted to see if I could scare him as I was flying around through walls like a ghost. I was laughing so much making these stupid "Whooooo" noises that I woke up.
Last night back in Chicago I went to bed at 11:00pm. I then lay in the dark wide awake until I gave up and got up at 4:30am. I know from experience that I have at least another 2 nights of sleepless hell. Whats worse is that the weekend is my "prime" LDing time.
Maybe as I have now had zero hours sleep for over 24 hours I will get some sleep tonight and maybe even some REM - probably not though.
:(

Aww...at least you had an awesome experience while you were away. Your ghost impression made me lol. Too bad it didn't scare the guy. :D
Good luck on getting that REM rebound. Maybe you'll have another WILD!

Geez man, your travel sounds like mine, do you work for Siemens by chance??? :)
Jet lag totally messes up my sleep patterns and any chance of gerring lucid. It usually takes me at least two weeks to recover.
-
Not Seimens no - but a global CPG - so yes I have to travel to our offices all over.
It normally takes me 3 or 4 days to get back to normal. So this weekend is hot for LDing - but should be able to get back into it next weekend.

On the bottle of my melatonin + B6 pills, the label says it's meant to reduce jet lag. Have you guys tried any of those two to resolve jet lag quicker?
-
When i went to Italy, the first night i slept almost 15hr and I had a lucid dream.
-
Yes, Lol, I used it on my first night back. I landed Friday late afternoon and stayed up until 11:00pm. I took some melo and went to sleep. I slept a whole 10 minutes and was then wired and wide awake for the rest of the night.
As Sheogorath said - it you travel east its somewhat easier and you can get lucid. But travelling back west with a 13 hour time difference is nasty.
-
Would the guys you were trying to scare look the same as if you actually did go to their rooms and see them? Hmm...
I laughed so hard. xD I want to try that!
-
That ghost part was hilarious :D
Hope that you get back into your routine without too much hassle.

Back to normal now.
2 WILDS last night, expecting more tonight.
