My current goal is to summon somebody inside of a lucid dream.
So... Question time.
If you are lucid and attempt to summon somebody that you see every day but never up close and you have never really looked at their features so you aren't completely sure what they look like in your conscious mind, when you summon them will they look the same as they do in real life or will their appearance be altered?
It depends. Sometimes I dream about people that I don't know very well, and have never really thought about how they look...and I'm always surprised that my mind creates such a complete and accurate portrayal of this person.Quote:

Sometimes it seems easier when you approach this issue as if you do not know what anyone really looks like. When you try to tell your mind that you know something, and then try to force that appearance onto a dream character...it gets muddy. But when you just let go, and let things happen naturally, your mind seems to fill in the empty spaces with surprisingly accurate detail.
Ok, thanks. I'll try it out when I next have a lucid. It will be the first actual thing I have done in a lucid even though I'm getting them every 3.5 days on average :?
... It worked kind of, from a distance it was them but when they got closer they turned into a different person xD. I'll try again.
I've always been successful when I summon people. I dunno if it could be connected with me having a good face/name memory.
Yea, I'm really bad at that. No matter how much I talk to somebody I cannot mentally reconstruct their face.
