Anybody know anything about how outside temperature affects dreaming, or if it doesnt make to much of a difference as long as its not in the extreme. I would think that a colder temp would be better, but maybe thats just my personal preference.

Simple answer, adjust the temperature to whatever makes you more comfortable. The more soundly you sleep, the more vivid your dreams will become.
From his Topic 15 lesser known dream facts
I never new that. This could play a role also.Quote:

Just today in this natural healing guide I read this;
Fresh air "Even in winter, fresh air is essential for a sound nights sleep. Stuffiness or smells can remind you of your day or unsettle you, preventing your mind from clearing itself and switching off."
temperature
"Your body cools down during sleep. Opening a window or using a fan can help to drop the temperature of the room. this then helps your body ready for slumber."

I would use which ever works better for you. Incense works for a lot of people.

If I couldn't sleep in a comfortable temperature, I'd choose too cold over too hot. Even if its uncomfortably cold, I can sleep fairly well, and I think sleeping well is the main key to dreaming. Having slept in a room that gets possibly into the 40's during winter, and over 90 in the summer, I find colder to be preferable. Plus, I can get that nice cozy feeling under the covers, which is very relaxing, especially in the early morning, prime time for dreaming.
