I just stay still, and try to remember. I wake up naturally and use the alarm method.
What do I do when I want to recall dreams?
i get up and let my dog out and then i remeber alot of dreams then
Dunno about a natural after dreamer awaker capacity.
Before i started doing the DJ i used to sleep all night and rarely wake up in the middle of it. Then when i started writing dreams down for a long period i would awake a lot of time after my dreams like i got used to it. Then i stopped writing them down and my night became a long one again. This last weekend i restarted writing the dreams down and i'm starting to have the wake after dreams pattern of sleep again.
I think it becomes an habit and you will have a lot more situations like that when you write dreams down than when you don't. At least that's what happens to me.
So, basically, on start i tried to recall after i awake everything i could remember from dreams (sometimes i didn't remember anything but i did an effort anyway to remember anything) and now i remember a lot of things and also awake after most dreams so it's more easier to recall them.
I wish i could do that. I generally remember only one dream... every two weeks or so. My recall sucks alot :embarrassed:
I can't even vote here :P
i usually wake up around 9 AM, and stay in bed and remember a few dreams on weekends, on weekdays, i usually remember them in the shower.
I use a mantra whenever my recall starts to tank. It's been holding steady for a while now, though. Pretty much, I sack in from dusk to dawn. I don't wake up in between at all if it can be avoided. In addition, I like to hold rather still when I wake up and collect my thoughts before moving. And I also dream journal every day, even if all I remember is a fragment or two. It really does help tremendously. :D
Oh, and Donran, if you really want invisible text in your sig, the color code is #f3f3f6. Just quote my message to get the format. :)
Well, here you go.
I recall one to two dreams per night...
I keep my brain extremely well nourished, I take all kinds of vitamins/herbs.
Magnesium, both acetyl-l-carnitines, multivitamin, B-complex + 100mg b6 before bed, ginkgo biloba, choline... lots of stuff.
And it's more than worth it.
I find that as I get more interested in my dreams, pay them more attention and spend alot of time writing them up in detail I wake up naturally every 2 - 3 times per night with a dream.
