so maybe I am a little off!

Recently I set my watch to go of every hour. Just a bleep. Everytime it does I do a reality check. Then whan I go to bed when my watch goes of It ,in theory, triggers the thought I might be dreaming. The problem is I cannot here high pitched sounds very well. So I was convinced that I could not here my watch under the covers and down on my arm while I am sleeping.
So what I did was to get a big rubberband and strap the watch to my ear.

      Nothing happened???
I still think it can work.

i have no idea how you were able to sleep with a watch strapped to your head like that

Try making the watch louder and louder

If that is the loudest then ditch the watch during sleep and use something else. Like an alarm clock on radio, but have it low enough to not wake you, or have a pre-recorded tape with "you're dreaming" stuff

Curiosity killed the cat but at least it didnt die an ignorant bastard

Could it be that you need more than just a bleep. Like maybe a few of them in a row or something might be needed to trigger an RC.
      n00bs i love you

Bingo. The hair cells on your cochlea that detect higher pitches are probably permanently damaged. Listen to alot of loud music?

Nothing can help you fix that. (ok, inner hair cell repair is being studied I know, but I don't believe modern science & medicine has developed anything solid on it yet)

Get something that beeps or makes a noise at a frequency you can easily hear, even at relatively low volumes.
      Insanity is the new avant-garde.

Dream-scape, unfortunatly I thunk you are right. I can't here a lot of other high pitch noises.
I turned my watch up as loud as it will go. And if I get somthing too loud it will be like an alrm clock and wake me up rather than just hearing it in my sleep.
Nova dreamer for a late Christmas present would be great Truth bearer!!

Any ideas on low pitched noise makers?

Oh ya the reason for my hearing loss = & no ear plugs.

      Remember us when your rich
If you are sreious I have taken some of my ideas to ISC, Invention submission corp. They seem reputable. Unfortunatly it cost to get the beginner package. Patent search, consumer survey, etc. I tried to cut out the middle man and go directly to retailers but none of them have interest do to law suites and credibility. That's where a Co. like ISC comes in. I think your talikng around $2000.oo for the first part. It eventually can lead up to over 5 thousand I know it sounds like a lot but there are a lot of five thousand dollar invested millionairs out there.
Have I forked out any of my ideas? No but I am too conservative

Unless you were planning to make this product with your own materials

If it is your own thread does it matter if you take it of topic? I don't know where all this came from.

Well, I'd like it to be serious, commercially ... but undecided whether its viable yet.
I'd like to try make a prototype first maybe. Iron out things and make sure it's possible
