Once you learn your niche...are LD's easier from then on?

I realize learning to LD to different for everyone. Everybody uses different techniques that best suites them in order to achieve lucidity.

I understand you kind of want to find what the best method is for your own self. You do this via trial and error.

My question is though...once you find the method that works best for you (lets say WILD's) does this stick for most your life and practices with LDing? Or does your body change overtime with age etc...and certain methods that worked great before might not as much anymore? And with that said, you would have to re-learn and practice a new method?

Im just hoping that I haven't really found my exact formula yet and that's why I haven't had a successful LD. But once I find out what works for me...I should be set...right?

Practice makes perfect. According to Stephen LaBerge, eventually he could MILD easily after years of practice. As far as WILD is concerned, with practice you will be able to guide yourself easier into a dream rather than you could when you were a beginner.

I find no reason why a method would suddenly stop working for somebody. Just keep in mind tho, that with age, new concerns of the everyday life are getting on your way, so it is more likely someone will give up his LD efforts.

You've got that right!!! Motivation and effort matter more than anything else. I've been sucked into real life problems for the last few years and it's really ruined by LD rate.

Yes, since it can be hard to understand what a tutorial is explaining sometimes...when you experience your own lucid dreams you remember certain feelings on the way, so you eventually pick up all the signals and develop a good technique.

Does this also mean that once you have your first LD it will get easier to have one from then on because your body knows what the dream world is like and its not a new experience any more?

With persistence, and applied "intention" to any LD induction technique on DV will usually become very effective.

Yes but i have never had a LD before because sometimes i can get to excited and it distracts me so i thought maybe if you have done it once or twice before it would get easier.

When you're consistently motivated, it does start to get a lot easier to recognize when you're dreaming.

But once you start getting Lazy about it Lucidity slips away fast, and you have to work hard to get them going again.

Well good... i can't wait till i get so good that when i see something like a flying car in my dream i can say "alright now i KNOW im dreaming" and do a RC :D
