1st person changing

When I dream, so during LDs and just normal dreams, the body that I am in changes constantly. So at the beginning of the dream I am myself, and then if I want to fly I find that I am no longer myself, instead I am some sort of flying creatre. But it isnt like I think about changing into something else, I just kind of all of a sudden am, and my mind sort of molds it together so well that I dont even notice the change sometimes during the dream, I end up realizing afterwards when I am recalling the dream.

Is this a normal thing for anyone else? Is this perphaps just my dreaming mind's attempt to make the dream more realistic so I dont realize I am dreaming aseasy? Can anyone make anything of this?
