not thinking logically
ok, it's been like this for the past year, when i lay down to go to sleep i usually think 100 miles a minute, and i can catch myself falling asleep when my thought starts repeating something that is illogical, but makes sense while im falling asleep. sometimes i can catch myself doing that. but usually ignore it until i fall asleep. last night i started doing that but for some reason i imagined myself in a kitchen. with shiny kettles and pots. and i remember the big pots were steaming and other people were in the kitchen, i faded into this scene twice. before i ignored it and just allowed myself to fall asleep, i think maybe if ic an control this "thinking illogicaly" thing i may be able to instantly dream and become lucid. what do you guys think?

Hmm, that's exactly what happens to me... while I'm falling asleep, I start thinking random thoughts I can't control or even remember, but if I can snap back awake, it feels like the beginnings of some dream. I've never been able to control it, though, so I don't know what it would do. It might be the beginnings of some kind of SP or something, though, what does everyone else think?

I seem to only think logically towards waking up. Like this morning, about 5 seconds before I woke up and as the dream was wrapping up, I said to myself "I'm dreaming"...saw a familar type of image that triggers my DEILDs but I didn't jump into lucidity.
Maybe by repeating a mantra you may snap out of thinking illogically towards sleep, or find yourself saying it in a dream and realize you're dreaming.
