Overview effect in dreams or must external physical requirements be met?

Seems pretty interesting but after reading that i still dont know what they are talking about.

If the "overview effect" is caused by an emotional response to visual stimuli then yes this can be achieved in a dream. But if there is some kind of physical response happening due to the environment then a dream can't cause this. The mind, at least in my experience, isn't good at creating a feeling it has never experienced before.
