      my lucid dream?

Was a while ago now, but I believe I had a lucid dream.

Basically I was in some sort of square, with what I think was lots of shops, at some point in the dream I actually realised that I was infact dreaming.
In my dream I said "ok, im dreaming, lets see what I can do" then I went into a paper shop, and picked up one of the magazines from the shelf, couldnt understand what I was reading, seemed to be in gibberish.

Not really sure if it was a lucid dream, but thought id share it anyway.

Mos of the time if you have a lucid dream the next day, week, month or year it might become to seem as a normal dream but at the time of the lucid you were fully in control and aware. That's why you write in your dream journal, and write things like 'It was so realistic and I felt as if I was awake and i was in full control' to remind you if it was a lucid or not.
Sometimes lucid dreams can fade fast but sometimes you can remember them as real life memories.
So yes it might have been a lucid.

I also remember when I was younger, if I ever had a bad dream, I could actually wake myself up (usually by scrunching my eyes up) dont know if that could be considered a lucid dream, obviously deep down I knew I was having a bad dream.

Always been fascinated by dreams, even from an early age, I would ask members what they dreampt about with interest.

Yes, it was a Lucid Dream. The only qualification an LD needs to be an LD is for you to know you were dreaming while still dreaming.
