Stupid Dry Spell
I have been lucid dreaming for a while now and I am currently in the longest dry spell I have ever had. It is so annoying. I am lazy and don't really know what to try. I guess I should be keeping a dream journal and actually putting forth effort, but I usually just have lucid dreams for no reason. I don't know. I need encouragement or ideas or something. I really want to get back into lucid dreaming again, but it is a little hard considering it has been months since I have had one. Thoughts?

Well for me the easiest way to get one is to believe that it will happen and I mean really believe. Yes it is a good idea to keep going with your Dream Journal so you can keep up to date with your dreams. And do plenty of Reality Checks too they help along the way. The Reality Check I use the most and seems more effective is the Nose Pinch.
Happy Lucid Dreams :).

Dude, I've been going through a similar thing. I used to have 2-3 lucids per week but about January, my lucids started to dwindle, then by the end of February I was having 1 every 2 weeks. My method at the time was to just do an RC once or twice an hour mixed with WBTB and MILD.
So I started trying to maintain awareness as much as I can throughout the day. After about 3 weeks of this I was able to get more lucids, but my lucids sucked more than usual. It's like "I know I'm dreaming now, but I'm still going to try to do my homework". Its really frustrating.
I guess, maybe the best thing for me and you to do is to try and be more dedicated to lucid dreaming and maybe try out different techniques, and I would suggest you keep a dream journal. You never know, one small step may be just enough for you to break you're spell. Good luck!

Don't sweat it. It happens. Just try something (anything) to get you excited about and focused on dreaming again.

Try reading through some dream journals of more experienced members to try and get motivated to start trying again.

I'm also on one... I'm finding that I need to reconnect with my dreams... which also means going back into the hardcore recalling (writing them down during any WBTB's) and using my waking time wisely.
I've always been excited about dreaming and LD's in general, but it seems if I slack off on journalling, then I'm less likely to be lucid.
