Alright, keep in touch with DV even if you won't be able to work on LDing until the summer. That way you can read up and research and learn and prepare for LDing this summer and you'll be on top of things right from the get-go! :D
Stick around, bud! We've got good times here waiting to be had!
In addition, keep up the DV browsing and read stuff about LD.
You might trigger a DILD as your mind knows what LD is... and I'm sure you will recall it!!!
Good luck and see you soon!
I might come on here every once and awhile but not as much as i was.
It would be far greater to your benefit to stay active on DV even if you aren't LDing, but getting on whenever you can - so we don't forget you - would be great too if that's all you can swing.
I think good dream recall helps with LD, but I don't think bad recall equates to no LD.
You can still read LD literatures, do reality checks, and being more aware of your environment. All of these actions reinforce the desire to have an LD in your subconscious mind. My dream recall is quite bad, yet I had 2 LDs just 2 nights ago.
Hope to see you around. :)
My recall sucks and I don't have a DJ, but I still had my first 2 LDs on school nights. Afternoon naps and weekends still let you LD if you want.
More good points as to why you should stay. Generally I don't advocate LDing without practicing recall first, but as others have stated it really isn't entirely necessary and is certainly not intended to be a barrier to keep people from LDing. It just makes the whole process of LDing and remembering all your dreams more fun.
