Anyway to turn a semi-lucid into a full one?

Well yesterday I had my first lucid :banana: .. err semi lucid dream ever. I was trying to fall asleep in water then after a few minutes I wondered how I could breathe and reality checked and it worked.

In the dream I was aware, but couldn't really control anything. I was just following the dream plot while aware but woke up shortly. Is there anyway you can take control of a semi-lucid? Thanks.

From my past experiences, whatever lucidity level I'm at when I become lucid is the level I'll be at for the remainder of the dream. I'm sure you can become slightly more lucid, though, by really stopping and attempting to think as deep as you can about the dream. Kind of grounding yourself within the dream.
