Quick REM cycle?
This seems pretty regular to me, but I think I have a very quick REM cycle. I've read that you are supposed to wait around 4-5 hours for your REM to kick in after falling asleep and attempting a WILD. However, last night and I am pretty sure almost every night, I woke only 2 hours after sleeping, having remembered a dream.
Is this one of those "It's different for everyone" things? And if so, could I then theoretically attempt a WILD after only 2 hours of sleep?
Thanks in advance!

The REM periods earlier in the night are not as vivid and not as easy to become lucid in as the ones closer to the morning. Plus after sleeping a few hours your body is already very relaxed and it's easy to fall back asleep.

i believe the sleep cycle is 90 minutes long, but the REM portion is longer and "stronger" later on in the night. It's easier to enter REM and makes for better dreams if you try it later at night. A minimum of 4.5-5 hours, sometimes 6 hours in is best.
