Dream sign? Dream guide? I need some thoughts on this please!

Okay, lately, I have been dreaming of one of my best friends whom I've known since preschool.
She appears in my dreams almost every other night now! And she always plays a key part in my dream "plots."
So, I was wondering, could she be a dream sign? A dream guide? Both?
Also, can someone have more then one dream sign or dream guide?

I would appreciate your thoughts on this subject, and I would love to hear any experiences you might have had with a dream sign, or dream guide.

Maybe in my next lucid, I'll try to summon the DC, and ask her if she is my DG?

I would say dream sign, it fits the requirement after all! "recurrent part of a dream" right? Try asking her to make you lucid?

What are other requirements?

A dream sign is just something or someone that shows up in dreams repeatedly. If they show up, RC and you know that you're dreaming.

So, yeah, I'd say she's a dream sign, on the most boring, non-metaphysical level you could imagine. :P

That said, who's to say that this character isn't your DG? Why don't you ask her about it?

I've never met the same "person" twice in any dream, ever. I think you are pretty lucky to have a dedicated companion to hang out with in your dreams! ^_^

Thanks everyone! Yeah, next time I become lucid, I'm definitley going to ask her if she's my DG. I think that would be the most logical thing to do.

And, Tim, my method of becoming lucid is MILD's and DILD's. I'm practicing on DEILD's, but I'm not quite there yet. WILD's aren't really my thing. Once I get into HI, I get scared because I hear creepy whispers, and end up opening my eyes. xD

WILD. Im personally fascinated by sleep paralysis. I enjoy learning about the body and how it falls asleep. I am also just starting to practice on my DEILD's, as I always wake up from my dreams kinda quickly and its annoying. Going back in would be nice. :D I dont usually hear whispers, I just feel as if I am being forced into my bed. Its kinda weird. I also hear these weird pulsating tones. I actually first experienced SP yesterday.
