Mastering Lucid Dreaming Group
Hey All.

I've devised a bit of an idea. I know some lots of you have trouble lucid dreaming. I do as well. I have had only one LD as you may see. In an effort, I think I've found the solution.

A group of people aiming towards mastering the art of lucidity might be better than just one person. We can combine our efforts, compare results, and share success. I think that this would benefit everyone in every single way.

If you guys are interested, please, it is a group effort, and the more we have the better.

*UPDATES*

If we get enough members, we may be able to have our own sub-forum in a group, to discuss our matters without having it lost in the pre-existing lucid dream discussion forum. If you would like to vote for this, please include it in your sign in.

We will focus on ALL techniques, just so you guys can be more comfortable with your preference of LDing.

Isn't that one of the purposes of this forum? It's not like this is just a place for newbies to get answers.

I'm up for this. I had 1 LD back in September and then stopped trying. Joining this might help me get back into the swing of things.

Why not? Could help me get more consistent. My recall's been terrible this past month. The problem is not writing dreams down because of lack of time, I forget them almost immediately.

Amount of Sleep Daily: 8-6 hours on most workdays (because of school). 10-12 hours on weekends.

I won't be able to LD in May (because of school), so there's not gonna be a lot of feedback from me at the beginning, but once summer break starts, I'll restart my LD efforts.
I do have MSN, but I don't use it, I like Skype much more. My Skypename is N30N30 just in case.

Yes but nina, this is a concentrated group effort. Also, the forum has been leaning off-topic a bit more than lucid dreaming in the past month.. I really enjoy sharing lucid dreaming and discussing it, but somehow we get a lot more effort in the off-topic area. I did this to resurrect the cause.

ClearView, I've been telling you for weeks now. Get a DV DJ up and running. We've even got a little competition going to see who can become lucid the most. It couldn't hurt you except the loser gets noogied.

Req, I might actually start it up again now.. Although its so far buried in the forum it's not even funny. I've got a few dreams that I can add in there right now, but I will definitely start again.. I don't doubt that I may become lucid again very soon after starting it, but who knows -.-

In a way yes. See, I am not very good at lucid dreaming, but I know quite a bit about it. I want to have a group of lucid dreamers, who are having difficulty to lucid dream, and bring each other to success --> LDing at Will. If we get enough people, I think that by the end of 2010 we will ALL be able to LD at will.

I agree, but an official name would make the group more concrete. Then Project Mastered Dreaming it is.

I'm not to big on the name thing, I'm mostly concerned on getting enough people to join. I think that we need at least 15 people/and voted for the sub-forum, before we can begin everything. If you guys want to help advertise the thread in your sigs, I would appreciate it greatly.

This "isn't full of newbies teaching newbies" first of all. I have learned quite a bit about lucid dreaming, and it isn't "teaching". It is a group working together to lucid dream. We aren't necessarily learning, you can say we are "working".

I think now is a good time to start thinking about a more specific purpose for this forum. How exactly would it be run? What would you do with a subforum? What will the structure be? This would help a great deal for determining whether or not we will need a new forum for this project.

For example, having a new forum similar to the adoption forum, only instead we would have people recruiting members for small groups who would read each other's journals and encourage each other or small groups with similar goals who can help each other. Just a thought. :)

Hi Naiya,

The reason I think a sub-forum would be beneficial for us is, usually things that get posted, and aren't looked at right away by someone, do get lost in the many many threads on DV. It would give us a place to discuss, keep separate DJ's for this project and things of that nature. It would be like any other sub-forum, as you mention the adoption forum, but with other categories. Maybe something like project announcements, project DJ's (that everyone should be able to have), and things discussing lucid dreaming within the group. I know you might say, well thats what the forum's for. Although, in this group it is easier to focus on the individual at hand, because we don't have an immense amount of members, such as DV itself. This way everything will be clear, and we could successfully help each other and master the art of lucid dreaming.

If you think that we are going to be able to have less people, shouldn't we put a cap on it? It seems kind of mean to not let anyone else in, but then it could become too crowded to do what we want to do.

That wasn't my intention of putting that we are going to have a member cap, it was just a comparison between our group and the entirety of DV itself.

You could always divide the entirety of Project Mastered Dreaming ("PMD" if I may), into smaller sub groups if it ever did get to chaotic.

Started like, two days ago, had results on first try with WILD and had my first LD last night, for around an hour, which some people told me is unusual. Through the ages 6-10, I used to have frequent LDs, I just never took advantage of it.

This is an idea I would like to be a part of. I find LDing interesting and I enjoy researching into it. Different techniques work for people, and maybe we can find out more about that. Hey I want to join. My preferred technique is DILD, however I do occasionally WILD or DEILD. I just joined a few days a go and since then I have had 2 LDs. In total through all my life I believe I have had 103 but I may be off by a few. I normally get 6-8 hours of sleep on weekdays( I have college and all) On weekdays I usually get alot of sleep though. I think Im a good addition to the group, just dont go by the date I joined because I was LDing way before I joined the site. I am in EST time zone. USA USA lol Im kindof goofy sometimes but whatev.

Hi, im new to the site but started lucid dreaming a few months ago. Something i found that really helped was a supplement called ZMA. Its zinc-asparate, b-6, and magnesium asparate. At the time i used it because i heard it was a good way to enhance your quality of sleep and i wanted that to help repair my muscles faster for a powerlifting competition. But while using it, I noticed that i was having lucid dreams often. I had a lucid dream about once a week for 3 weeks. Since ive stopped using it about a month ago, ive only had one LD. I think the better quality of sleep helped me get lucid dreams. if you try the ZMA just know that you should NOT buy the ingredients seperately and make it yourself because an inbalance of the ingredients or overdose can cause diarehha (however you spell it) and other side effects. Also, do not have any calcium for up to 2 hours prior or after use because the body will absorb the calcium instead of the zinc.
