Haha yeah it is. I'm from New York City, and yes the R35 GTR with Premium in Gunmetal color and black rims. Hopefully i'll get to play around in it a little. :)
And to lose this digression, no. Dreams are independent of outside forces, in terms of content. The material is from previous experiences (like the day before), chaotic things to make more stuff to keep the mind occupied, and specific situations to 'prepare' for how to react if they actually happened.
In short, that is as bent as a three dollar bill.

Lol. I remember this little urban legend/myth from when I was a teenager too. It's totally all right to hope that your crush dreams about you too. Although, in my experience as a teenager the people you have crushes on never reciprocate and you're never interested in the people who have crushes on you -- life's a bitch like that.
