Unexpected Lucid Dream
So after getting a job and having less time to RC and such, I thought I was doing it in vain. I thought wrong, because last night I had my second ever LD. But this time it was ridiculously clear and vivid and I had full control of my actions. It lasted for about 15 minutes too. I was amazed at how vivid it was and how it felt like being 'awake'.
The way I actually became lucid was because I had an FA. The previous dream I had involved body swapping machines, and I thought to myself 'That's impossible! What a weird dream.' I did my usual RC whenever I wake up, and realised my left hand kept changing the number of fingers it had. I shouted out loud 'This is a dream!'.
I tried to get out of bed, but my vision started to become very strange and blurry. For a split second I could feel my 'dream' body and my 'real' body at the same time. So I decided to try rubbing my hands to increase stability. It worked, very well. So well that it shocked me how vivid it became. I tried flying but that didn't work. Instead, I managed to float downstairs and into the garden. (Note: I noticed that the house I was in wasn't my own)
The garden had weird sheds and lots of pots and rubble. I decided to try moving them with my mind. It was surprisingly easy, and I had fun making things zoom around the garden. I tried flying a few more times but couldn't remove the doubt from my mind. Then my real life mother came storming out of the house and began to carry me back inside. I said 'Stop that!' firmly, and she silently released me and stood there looking confused.
I then tried flying one last time, but instead I jumped 6 feet into the air and onto a fence. After that I suddenly woke up.
So yes, this has pretty much restored a hell of a lot of motivation for me. Especially since I've not been RCing as much as I hoped. Message of this story? Don't give up hope, keep RCing and keep positive. It will happen. :D

Congtatz man, I have also noticed that taking a brief RC break can work wonders.

I, honestly almost never RC during the day, yet i have had 5 DILDs since joining 2 months ago. maybe i'm just a natural, which might be the case since i learned to wake myself up form nightmares since i was 7, but i highly doubt it.

Congrats! I have yet to experience ridiculous clarity. Most of the time I realise I'm dreaming, I just continue doing what I think I would be doing if were LDing. :P
