Possible to write music?
Im a guitarist making a living as a musician and just recently discovered lucid dreaming and had a crazy idea that if i master the art of lucid dreaming will i be able to become lucid in my dream, pick up a guitar and play a awesome tune, wake back up and transcribe it on paper? I have heard people doing this but not getting any feedback from them and sorry that this might be in the wrong section this will be my first post! and oh hi everyone :) im on day 3. . . and hope to get a lucid dream shortly

It's the same ideaas having an awesome riff idea in the shower.
Still gotta transcribe it. That's the hard part.

Yea but I think when being lucid you can be way more creative than in the awakening state?

Yes, but you're a long ways from dream control like that. It's a whole different idea than lucid dreaming.

I don't see any reason not. My subconsious has created some really cool musical dieas before in non-lucid dreams. The only difficulty would be remembering it when you wake up. Theoretically, if you wake up directly from the lucid dream and go right to your guitar and write it out, it should work.

That sounds great and something to work for! My guitar hangs just above my head so its easy to grab and play something but i must admit i first have to crawl before i can walk and not even begin to think that i can control a lucid dream to create music, but thats my aim! Just the responses i was looking for, thanks guys much appreciated! very glad i joined here and began my journey!

Non-Lucids are probably your best bet for music right now. I would work on dream control and have fun in your lucids before moving on to music.

Before I got into lucid dreaming I remember writing songs in dreams at least once or twice. I woke up feeling great about what I had made, but was completely unable to remember what exactly I had created. Nothing ever got written down.
I guess that just stands as a testament to the importance of developing good recall. But it's possible that I never actually wrote any music in my dreams; maybe I just dreamed the abstract concept of composition, which would explain my utter inability to remember.
