Thread: half-assed LD or false awakening?

Strange experience: this morning, I "woke up" scared. I felt a general feeling of fright in my body. I thought this must be sleep paralysis (I read too much about it lately) but I could move my hands and feet. Opening my eyes was much more difficult. Everything was really really dark.

I tried to turn on the lights but it didn't work so I figured the lamp was not plugged in. I dragged myself out of bed and tried to turn on the other light and only then I understood I was asleep. I felt dizzy and groggy, moving around was difficult and everything was so dark.

I made it to the kitchen, tried in vain to make the dream a bit more clear, heard my boyfriend calling my name out of nowhere, dismissed that and finally decided to spin in order to get out of it. It made me wake up.

Now what could that have been? Did that happen to anyone? It wasn't scary or exciting, it was just very annoying... like my brain was too lazy to invent a dream for me, it was low-res and dark and it was in my own house...bah!
