      Aristotle's quote

Okay, this is kinda random, but have you guys ever heard that quote by Aristotle, "Hope is a waking dream" ? Aristotle himself was a lucid dreamer. So is it possible that in that quote he is referring to lding?
Dreaming permits each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives.

It might be related, but you can't be sure. I think he was trying to say that people must awake from their fantasies and create real "perfect" worlds.

More proof as to why I think it's wrong and arrogant for us to say that we are the pioneers of lucid dreaming - the great philosophers of the past held it as a personal revelation and profound meditation. Aristotle is a genius.

They were also profound atheists. Most rejected the gods that were so blatantly worshipped, and looked into themselves for the answers to life's questions. It doesn't surprise me that some could lucid dream.
