So close! SO CLOSE!!!
I was so close to having a DILD last night. I was at school and I was in the hallway and there was a teacher talking to us about lucid dreaming. He said does anyone know what this is? I was about to blurt out the answer but then some girl said some weird answer, can't really remember it. I said no it's not that and explained it. I woke up in the morning and about a hour after getting up I realized what I did and just felt so close! Man hopefully I'll remember to RC next time! At least I'm having progress with LDing!

You'll get to it, I'm sure. It's actually kind of funny how close you can get without any actual result. :P
My first few attempts at LDs ended up with me waking up right after performing a successful RC. Twice, I had falsely awakened in my bed, and twice I woke up from straining too hard to focus.

Congrats, be aware that RC can fail in dream. For example you look at your hands but still have 10 fingers, or you finger wont go trough hand, or you can't breath with pinched nose. So, doing RC doesn't necessarily lead to LD. Always do 3-4 reality checks in order to make sure they don't fail ( even tough they can again ). Anyway, keep it up, you are very close!

hehe, that you were about to get lucid means a lot, don't worry, it will come soon.
-
ya, i can't use a mirror for a reality check, because in a dream I can't determine if it's what it should be or not. I automatically assume it's what it should be, even when I'm LD'ing.

congratz man! having normal dreams about lucid dreaming is a step in the right direction.

hmm I have had that a lot of times...
but NO LD. :(
example: I was in my garage, then I put down a toolbox to roll over in my bed, then I was in the garage and I realised I had dropped my keys down the grate and into the sewers... which was when I woke up.
on my side.
