Watchful demon becomes more real

I have this reoccurring dream about a presence in my dreams for the last couple of years now. It is not a ghost that can be seen but a presence that I feel. I can have a totally normal dream about something and all of a sudden I can feel the presence in my dream. It doesn’t take part in what’s happening but I am the only one who knows it near. I try to pay no attention to it but I know its there and it makes me very uneasy but my dream continues on whether I am dreaming happy or sad thoughts

Up until recently this presence was not menacing it was more watchful, it hovered close by in my dream but never really became part of what I was dreaming about. I feel it’s an entity of some sort now because the last dream I had my 12 year old daughter was screaming from her bedroom. I ran to her room and I knew the presence was in there with her. When I opened the door the bedroom floor was made of glass panels and when I looked down there was this abyss. This presence was trying to smash the glass floor so my daughter’s room would collapse downwards into the abyass. I grabbed my daughter and we ran. The presence didn’t give chase and it did not expose itself to my daughter but she thought the house was collapsing for some reason.i didn’t tell her and thats when I forced myself to wake up.

This presence feels real like it shouldn’t be part of my dreams and comments would be appreciated.

The best way to find out is by controlling it and just talking to it. Try practicing lucidity. :]

Although I do believe that it is common to have reoccurring elements in your dreams. Any random Dream Evaluation book would say something along the lines of you being paranoid, worrying too much about things, feel guilty (since it's watching you), etc.

The presence feels progressively more real because you're thinking about it during the day, when you're awake. Dreams are created based on what you, the dreamer, think about and dwell on during your waking life. By thinking about it, you're feeding the dream sign. That said, telling you not to think about it probably isn't very helpful.

Don't be scared of it during the day. Think of it as an adventure, an adversary to defeat during your dream life. Remember, it's not real; it's just a challenge, a character. Try to look forward to confronting it in your dreams.

Like Tyler said, consider trying to LD. Start keeping track of your dreams in a dream journal (even if it's just in jot-notes), and you'll start to recognize when you're dreaming. Then you'll be able to confront your demon.

Dive deep into the abyss, don't be scared what you will find because it's only in your own mind. :)

It sounds like a spirit is trying to communicate. Careful with that thing, it knows you can sense it. It may keep trying to get your attention in more aggressive ways if you don't acknowledge it.

If is just a recurring dream, that could have been the conclusion of the series, and that should be the end of it, since it finally effected something, where as in the other ones it never did.

Anyway, I would go ahead and tell the thing to show up, reocurring dreams mean there is a message, so just take the message and let it die there.

I concur. A discussion like that belongs in Beyond Dreaming or something.
Anyways, you should note this dream sign, as it'll be a great aid to becoming lucid. Seriously, I'd throw a puppy off a bridge (ok, maybe not) for such a strong dream sign.
Also, don't be afraid to confront this stalker spirit thing in your dream. It can't hurt you IRL, so no need to be afraid.
