I would like to dream about my ex-girlfriend who moved somewhere else and it is hard. I think about her and I do have her in my dream sometimes but it is hard to become lucid. It's like she is in my dream but I am unable to kiss her or do what I want because there are other stuff going on like I could be hanging out with some friends, and I think this is because I am not aware that it is just a dream. Can someone give me any advice or technique on how I can fix this problem?
First of all, you assume that what you want is not the problem. I am not convinced of that.
If you believe the crap that you can control your dreams, then just do it, or you can maybe think that there is something else going on.
You can control yourself in a dream to your degree of lucidity.
Or first, learn to control yourself and your own self awareness, then see just how much of the dream environment you can control.
take it a step at a time.
If you become lucid in her presence, then you can go about your merry way with her. I've always wanted to go fly in the clouds with a guy DC...I think that might be fun, of course, do whatever you want :P.
If you become lucid without her there, then you can summon her. Expect her to be around the corner. If that doesn't work for you, then do what I do and ask a DC where she is-thinking in your mind she is near, so they won't say she isn't anywhere near. I don't believe there is any other way to solve this problem in a normal dream, you must first be lucid in order to control it :/.
Read over the lucid tutorials, especially MILD and DILD. You have a very potent dream sign, it seems. :) Those two techniques may be the most effective for you. The general gist is to be more aware when thinking about that individual. Whenever you catch yourself thinking about her, do a reality check and really scrutinize your situation...you may be dreaming. :) If you're able to become lucid, dream control will naturally follow, and you'll be fulfilling fantasies to your heart's content.
