      Lucid Stabilization=False Awakening

I had this extremely vivid dream, long story short, i became lucid and asked a DC "Im dreaming arent i?" the dream scene almost, sort of turned into quick sand, the faces of the dc's i was talking to stretched and whirled and fell into blackness, i knew i had to stabilize the dream but all the falling apart of the world made me dizzy so i tried to rub my hands together my hands wouldnt work right, and then closed my eyes before i dream puked.i think that was my fatal flaw. Then i felt this amazing feeling of sinking or being sucked downward, and at which point i had a false awakening :/ (i thought i read somewhere that if you fail at stabilizing a dream you wake up,in reality that was becoming too excited when lucid that wakes you up)because when i opened my eyes i was in my ROOM. i fell asleep on the couch in the living room, but at this point, i had lost most/all my lucidity. Otherwise i wouldve realized it was weird.Ive never had this happen before, normally, i just end up losing consciousness if i dont stabilize my dream. but this time, it was almost if, i wasnt able to stabilize it at all. Why wouldnt it work?! why did rubbing my hands together fail? ive always done it before when lucid and it ALWAYS use to work! D: ARGH so frustrating! but it was odd that i stayed lucid throughout the transition to the dream scene of my room. But i do think that closing my eyes is what caused the stabilization to fail even worse.

When you closed your eyes you must have transported yourself to another dream scene or false awakening as you put it. They say spinning around works but i've tried that with no luck.

A false awakening is when you dream youve woken up.

I know this, but it's still a dream nonetheless? So when you dreamed you woke up you never actually stopped dreaming. So therefore you were just in another dream scene without being conscious of it (false awakening.)
