The Nwonkun technique.
A few minutes ago, I came up with an idea.
This idea seems like it will work extremely well.
It is also extremely simple.
It is sort of an induction technique, and a reality check (sort of) as well.
So here it goes.
Basically you want to go throughout your day normally, except during conversations. Before someone says something, expect them to say "do a reality check". This is somewhat considered a reality check in my mind. By doing this a lot in real life, it will carry over to the dream world and hopefully the only thing that DC's will say, is "do a reality check."
And hopefully you are aware enough to notice it, and do it.
However, if you like to talk to your dream characters this might not be a good idea. (but who knows, they might still talk normally while randomly telling you to reality check)
Alternately, if you don't talk to DC's much (like me) you could imagine it just appearing on walls randomly, or hearing someone tell it from far away, having someone call/text you to do a reality check. However don't be overrun with these ideas, just pick one and stick with it, that way its easier to remember and less stressful. :p
If you've read this far, please comment and give criticism.

could someone move this to the attaining lucidity forum, instead of induction techniques? (I feel it would get more views there)

hmm... sounds cool. i think i'll double that up with my regular RCs. i'll let you know how it works for me.

Looking forward to hear from you :D

well haven't had an LD yet but i will soon. This is a pretty good idea. only problem is my DCs are pretty dang intelligent. I don't ever remember them saying something that didn't make sense.

dang. i think i had one last night using this method, but i left my dream journal on the other side of my room instead of in my bed, so i didn't write it down. I figure i would've forgot it by the time i was over there.

This is an iteresting concept, have your dream tell you that you are dreaming. Clever. From some one who is desperate to try any induction technique, l'll give this a try.
