MILD help!
Hello everyone! MILD seems interesting, and I want to try it out. I have attempted MILDs before, but I've never succeeded. I've decided to take a break from attempting to WILD (haven't succeeded so far) to trying out MILD. I'm just wondering what I should do first.
I'm trying to follow Naiya's way of doing it, as she is professional. :)
When I am about to go to bed, I try to visualize myself in a lucid dream. Usually I forget i'm doing this, think about something else, then fall asleep.
Can someone give me some quick pointers in MILDing?
Also, if you do succeed in MILDing, are the dreams just as realistic as WILDing?
Thanks in advance!

Your main issue is that you are forgetting what you are doing as you fall asleep. You really need to work on staying focused when you MILD. It will take practice just like WILD and regular DILD.
Work on keeping focus as you drift of into sleep. Some times this is easier to do if you repeat a mantra in your head. For example when I MILD i repeat, "The next time I am dreaming I will realize that I am dreaming". That tends to do wonders for me.
Another aspect of MILD is how excited you are about having the lucid dream. If you get really hyped up you tend to have more success.
If you have trouble getting excited try thinking of dream goals you really want to accomplish.
Good luck.

Sorry to intrude on you thread, but I have a question about the MILD too. I sort of have the opposite problem, I cant fall asleep while doing my mantra because im focused on the technique. Any suggestions?

Well, the tutorial tells you to keep practising even if you dont get results, and i think that you will eventually get better at it.
Just be sure to correct yourself when you notice your mind drifting off, i had that problem too.
@Spyder you will fall asleep sooner or later, trust me
And my mind seems to force me to tell you that naiya is not professional as she doesent MILD for a living :)
