      Imagined Water to induce

      First, read this.

      WILD with no external stimuli

This is a prerequisite, as without it, it will not work. I have tried. Any more than about 15-30 seconds and it just won't work.

When you catch yourself waking up at night, as explained in the link above, start imagining water running over you. The way i sleep at night, it's best to imagine my hands under a faucet. Keep this as a constant image, don't repeat it, as if you were standing still with the water still running.

You should be out in a few seconds back asleep. As soon as you feel the water, you are dreaming.

I had over a dozen inductions this morning (cause each time I'd get in I'd come out of the dream stretching.) with this technique. Though during the night I had a lengthy LD, simply cause this morning I had already had 9.5 hours of sleep, and would stretch each time I got into the dream, waking me up.

Wow, I'm going to try this next time to see if it'll work for me. Thanks.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

If you can discipline yourself to the WILD i described in the link, you will see it vividly within seconds - not a dream just imagination. Then you'll start to feel it about five seconds after that.

A visualization DEILD...interesting. Any tips on how to induce a natural wake up during the night?

Lucid, they happen very very often, no need to induce. Plus, unless you're lucid or in a nightmare, don't think that's possible as you're unconscious.

One way of waking up naturally in the night is to get a glass of water before bed, sip it, set it by your bed, and go to sleep. You'll wake up thirsty in a couple hours.
