      Time! Time! I FEEL Time!

Recently I've been getting these strange feelings. I'm walking home, the wind will blow, and I'll suddenly remember ten years ago and feeling the same wind. Sometimes even further back than ten years. Anything can trigger it, a smell, a word someone said, a particular motion.. I wouldn't call it nostalgia, because sometimes its not always a positive feeling. It's more like a star trek episode and I feel my entire life is on this weird loop of cycles, cycle after cycle after cycle. My age and the circumstances seem different, but the cycle and its movements are the same.

It's not just the past I feel.

The other day I had a few moments all to myself. The house was so quiet, and even though I live next to a highway, there wasn't any traffic either. Just this stillness. I thought the stillness would be peaceful. But instead when I tried to pay attention to the stillness, I get uneasy - because it wasn't still. It was moving and whirling so fast! I can't really explain what I felt, but I felt this invisible energy rushing forward - forward in time.

Anxious I jumped up and looked for something to do! I mean, how could I sit still when time wasn't?

I didn't understand why I was getting all of these weird feelings, I mean, feeling time isn't the same as remembering. Thoughts are more mental, this was feeling.

But I sat there and did my best to make sense of it. Scientists tell us time isn't linear, actually it's a part of this weird thing called the space-time continuum, not that I really understand what's that all about. Except that some scientists say, that this space-time has a geometric shape! Time has some sort of geometry to it?

I then imagined that when I was feeling the past, that maybe my sensation of cycles isn't just a crazy idea. But maybe there is a spiral like structure to time, and in every point of time, I can feel the previous parallel point in time of a previous turn on that spiral of time. What was the rush of energy I felt moving forward? Could that be the part of time ascending to the next turn on the spiral?

And then I thought, well if I can feel the past (which mostly depresses me) can I feel the future?

Well I don't know if this counts, but at least twice this week I've felt ecstatically happy!! Happy for things that......haven't happened yet. I wish I could feel that way all the time.

Well if my hunch is true, then many congratulations to you, it seems that your Kundalini is starting to awaken. This may be your path to enlightenment. Do not fear it.

I recommend meditation. Just breath in and out

Sounds like your perception of spiritual things are opening up, and thats interesting about spirals and time! The concept of time spiraling seems really familiar to me even though I don't remember reading it anywhere, maybe I read something similar to it. But, that's interesting that scientists say time has a geometric shape, because it makes me think of sacred geometry. Like how there are tons of spirals and fractals in nature, and how certain symbols are sacred and used in different spiritual paths.

LSD flashback? They're very rare, but they do happen.

I agree with malac to a certain degree. You might feel like a prophet for a while. If you continue your meditation, the process will keep going, sensations in your body might increase, states of rapture and joy. Who knows, play around and you might just see the future, your playing with time.

By the way, I am saying this from my own experience of Kundalini.

I don't get quite that same phenomenon, but I have had all of a object's history (say, my house, for example) jump into my head at one time. Hurts (mentally) like crazy for a minute, but when the "pain" dies down, it's amazing to see up to a couple hundred years of history almost visually happening all at once for a couple minutes. Really, until I stop focusing on the object.
That's what happened to me when I saw the Pantheon in Rome. Hundreds of years of history just >BAM< showed up in front of my eyes. THAT time, it was truly awesome.

So, I've had a strange experience recently, which seems similar to what you've described here! Me and a friend of mine were sitting alone in a room, and talking about how we'd been having lots of synchronicities in our lives. Somehow, despite living different lives, what we had been thinking about or reading about was strangely similar. About how all of our consciousnesses are connected, everything been part of "the all", and so on. Suddenly, this intense and weird feeling took both us over, and somehow we were both experiencing the same thing! It felt as though time was slowing to a crawl, to nothing, and that the moment we were in seemed to be infinite. Also, I felt like my spirit/consciousness was moving "outside" this reality or dimension! And this feeling was so intense, like a spiraling whirlwind growing in me, and outside of me. actually, this may or may not seem similar to you, but this experience had the feelings of time itself stopping, like looping or folding outside of time.

Lately though, been having weird thoughts about spacetime and its nature. But, it just seems like what you experienced could be similar to mine, hence me posting this in this thread lol.
