shared thought

I'm bored lately, and interested in more shared thought experiments. At the same time, I've also been shrinking away from that sort of thing, wanting my own mental space. It seems like too intimate of a thing to want to do with strangers. I'm not sure where to go with that.

One thing that I want is more information about what reality is like outside of our little earthly cul de sac. I want to know a different way to be that's different and better than our way. We cycle through the same collection of ideas, rediscovering them psychically, but almost never really breaking new ground. I want to break new ground. I guess I don't even care if it involves any new knowledge, as long as its real and constructively transformative. I want to be able to look back when I'm old and say that I didn't just piss away my life, reliving the same unreal fantasy of progress yet again. I want to accomplish something definite and significant, so that the condition of our human spirit is somehow a little bit better than it would have been otherwise.

I think its easier to do this cooperatively. One person has focus, but two people with related goals have got two different kinds of focus joined together. That has a lot more potential.

I think one reason for the dearth of new ideas from 'outside' of our world is we haven't yet done what we can with what we've already got. After we've made use of those possibilities, then heaven will move to bring us more.

Maybe telepathy is like promiscuous sex. It gets kind of gross when you're using other people to stroke yourself, like a procreative bolimic. But maybe its not like that when you're being honest and respectful and trying to accomplish something.

I'm just trolling for experiences and ideas here.
