astral projection and remote viewing

Partially I'm starting this thread as a place to put a 'remote viewing' thought without making a mess of the lottery thread.

I don't see why numbers would necessarily be hard to remote view. I think it would depend on the person. It seems to me that for whatever reason, some fates or spirits keep track of objects and events with numbers. This is the basis of numerology. Personally I find the idea totally implausible. It seems to be laughably crude compared to laws of physics. But personal experience seems to suggest that there's something to it. I speculate that its not a fundamental part of how nature works, that its a result of how people think about things, but as such its a real paranormal phenomena, not wholly delusional.

Assuming that the experience of astral projection is a human interpretation of something 'deeper', how crucial is that particular interpretation to the essence of what's going on? Most of us think of objects as being located in a 3-dimensional space. I think there's a lot of truth in this thought - it does very a good job of capturing important relationships between objects. But if a person somehow had an alternative way of successfully navigating through one's environment that worked as well, having a 3D experience wouldn't be essential. Is the experience of 'astral projection' essential to whatever is objectively real about it, such as the ability to move physical objects without physically touching them? I'm thinking that its not, but I'm just throwing ideas out there.

Possibly it's similar to numbers in dreams. I tried to find the winning lotto numbers while lucid in a newspaper. I read them once, tried to commit them to memory, but when I went to read them again, the numbers had changed. So when I bought the ticket in real life, I only got 2 numbers right out of 6.

Since the lottery drawing is sort of a random event, to me a better approach would be to pick a number and try to influence the outcome, rather than trying to foresee an outcome that could change for any number of reasons.

I don't think that will work either though. There are too many minds involved with opposing objectives, and no reason for providence to favor yours.

A easy way of remembering six numbers at first glance is to assign people to numbers and repeat up to 3 numbers as you wake up. What I like to do is assign NBA players to the first three numbers i see. So if I saw 12, 23,34 I would say Stockton,Jordan , Barkley one time and those names would be stuck to me. Then I would repeat the last three numbers until I wake and write them down, Along with the three names I collected.

Also I think it's very plausible to influence the outcome of the lottery. I use to meditate 30mins on the days of the drawing just before the numbers were drawn and each time one of the six numbers I focused on popped up and this happened over a 3 week period in both my
State lotteries. Versus me not landing any numbers when I don't focus upon them. So at the rate of manifesting 1 number per 30mins it would take me 0300 hrs of pure focus to bring in all six. I think the rate of manifestation is based on where the individual is mentally and dare I say spiritually.

A thought or two. Remote viewing does not seem like what someone would use for a lottery. As it is in the future that would be precog. and as shadwofwind says it is too random. I don't think the future is set in place. Precog. gives the ability to see a likely outcome if certain things go certain ways. If anyone could just predict a family member getting pregnent and that a terible storm is in the near future, well let's pat them on the back, that's pretty cool. But of course the lottery numbers can fall in millions of patterns. Too much to ask. Start with will it rain tomorrow and creep forward from there.
Remote veiwing is real, but as far as my knowledge goes it is vauge, and can be falsely infuanced be your own notions of what you might see. I would say, if you get to where you can describe one or two features of what is in your christmas presents without touching the package (or guessing because you have a good reason to suspect something) about 50% of the time, then again we will all want to pat you on the back. Seeing something clearly all of the time would require getting past deluding yourself with normal guesses that influance the picture. Good luck with that!
On astral projection, I think you stay in your body more or less and it is an alternative way of mapping the world around you. I do believe a supernatural thing is happening. The energy body is highly maluable to human will. It can also be very big. One form of projection is where a tentacle let's say of your preception reaches out and can deliver sensations back to the brain.
The problem with people moving objects with there mind is the law's of physics. Everything comes down to one type of energy interacting with all the other types. Some forces are very strong and stable and others are much less so. Looking at it as a physics equation; to move an object you need to overcome the forces opposing the action. Gravity from a huge thing like the earth is very very real and powerful. If you think of psycic energy as just another energy to feed into the equation, you would need an fantastic amount to move a heavier than air object. Perhaps in space it could be within a master's reach, but I'm not holding my breath that I will ever witness it on earth. Now, same logic, it would be much more likely to effect the course of a floating ballon, or an object floating in water. People can often say cause a floating tuft of feather to land where they want (part of the time). Another thing is that types of energy are more usefull in achieving an end. Gravity is wonderful at pinning down an object, heat or sound, much less so. Use the right tool for the job at hand. In the case of lifting a coffee cup, the right tool is your hand.

In my mind, the easiest way to move an object, aside from just picking it up and moving it of course, is to alter where it was to start with. In my experience this is definitely possible, and it doesn't involve fighting against conventional forces or inertia. Undoubtably there are other kinds of inertia to be overcome, but I don't know much about that.
