So not to long ago we got a tulpa forum. I never heard of a tulpa before so I looked at it and learned what it is. Basically a tulpa is a sentient thought form that you put a lot of time and energy into creating, you choose every aspect of it, like personality, what it looks like, the whole nine yards. You have to give it attention every day by talking to it. Eventually it will become self aware and can change any aspect of its self it desires. It can talk to you, only the creator can see it (as far as I know). Since this entity resides in your mind, it can retrieve memories that you have 'forgotten'. And a lot more. Now before I state my question I want you to know that I respect all religions and I am not trying to diss it. Now lets just assume that a dedicated follower of god prays to god every single day and talks to god about everything and eventually the follower begins to "hear" god talk back. Now considering how a tulpa is created and maintained by giving it attention (talking to it). Could it be that the dedicated follower of god isn't talking to god but has inadvertently created a tulpa that has assumed that role? And assuming the follower has no idea what a tulpa is then he will most likely mistake it for god. |

Oh God, it's this thread again. Go on over to Tulpa.info, this has been discussed heavily there. |

Sorry. Double post was on accident. |

Alright I went on the website and saw the faqs. Now I understand why you were annoyed lol. |

Glad you got a good laugh |

No not at all. I was just curious as to what was funny that's all. No big deal. |

always ask a question when you have one. nothing wrong with that. |

I always imagined that if tulpas were real, God would be an extremely powerful one. Instead of everyone having a personal God tulpa, their collective thoughts to/about God make one mega tulpa. As I've read somewhere that tulpas are more powerful with more people feeding them. |

If this God began to demand human sacrifice, they would tear down its altar and stop saying its name. |

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
Sandman! Have you read it? The idea has made for a great comic. All gods in that comic are really just tulpas that need need need your devotion to continue existing. |
