Using lucid dreaming to "become a god"

Lucid dream is said to be able to have effect on both the mind and body.

As we all know, we just use a small % of our brain in the waking life.

Therefore, do you think it would be possible to use lucid dreaming to unleash our inner abilities ?

      Example of such abilities :

      - clairvoyance
      - clairaudiance
      - scrying/remote viewing/opening the 3rd eye
      - awakening of the Kundalini
      - ability to fall asleep within 5 minutes after laying in bed (could be very useful to LD)
      - eating whatever we wish without taking weight
      - enhancing the memory in such a way that just reading something once would suffice to know it by heart
      - just need 2 hours of sleep everyday to feel refreshed
      - dream recall enhanced in such a way that every morning you remember perfectly of all your dreams
      - build strong resistance to diceases

I could list some others abilities but you get the point.

So, could lucid dreaming be able to unleash those "powers" ?

I agree with the first 2 lines and the line before the last one. And falling asleep within 5 minutes is nothing too crazy, but it has nothing to do with lucid dreaming. Perfectly recalling all dreams is just a matter of practice and patience in real life, not in lucid dreams. The rest is complete bullshit. In my opinion. I seriously doubt humans only use a small percentage of the brain and that we have that kind of potential, because if we did, we would be using it. Why the hell should we develop something like that if we are not going to use it? It's totally illogical. It is like a tiger growing 5 extra tails just to drag them around, it doesn't make sense.

Though you shouldn't be put off by my comment, and you will probably get some better answers in the "Inner Sanctum" section of this forum.

Also, I see you joined DreamViews in may 2014, so welcome on board! I hope you enjoy your stay

      Hi,

Thanks for your answer. I obv disagree quite lot with what you say but I appreciate you gave your opinion since this is what I asked and I respect your point of view.

If you do not believe that we only use a small percentage of our brain when we're counscious, you might want to look to what we can do during hypnosis or transes. Even under a big fear, some people showed some amazing physical abilities which were unable to be reproduced in a normal state.

LD is said according to Waggoner or Moray to have a direct impact on the body and the mind and is used to get rid of fears or phobias for instance. This shows again by itself that if we can heal the body and the mind with lucid dreams (because we're taping into our subcouscious), that means that when awake we are not using fully our abilities.

Therefore I put a list with little to big improvements. Little as falling asleep quickly. I admit it is not impressive but for the person who suffers from insomnia, it is gold that you give to him/her with such an ability.
Or eating without taking weight. Could be very useful to people who have eating food disorders, or fat people since they could eat whatever they wish in their lucid dream and therefore not be tempted to eat tons of food in the waking life. Again, it seems very mundane but the consequences on the quality of well being and happiness are huge.

Then I inserted some more 'exotic' abilities such as clairvoyance/clairaudiance/3rd eye/remote viewing/Kundalini.
I totally understand these could seem total crap for you and I will not even try to convince you that you could be wrong. I have witnessed some incredible things which tend to make me believe that such things do exist. But again, I won't argue about that because it is not the scope of my OP.

I wasn't aware of the "Inner Sanctum" section, so thanks a lot.

And thanks for the welcome ! I'm a long time reader even if indeed I just suscribed.

      Have a good day !

Using lucid dreams to "become a god" ?

      Greetings everyone,

I posted that thread in the generic section and I have been redirected here by a DV member, so here we go :

False. Ten percent of brain myth - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As for the rest, call me a skeptic, but I don't believe in any of those things. And if they were possible, I'd think people would have developed them long before we were born.

As a vodou practitioner I am strongly linked to the spirits world and I have met some of them more than once. So I won't agree with you, hence my OP.

But no problem, I respect your opinion.

There's no doubt that lucid dreaming can be used to develop psychic abilities because of the enhanced connection with your subconscious. I don't care what any skeptic says, ESP and there's way more to reality then we've been led to believe. The 10% brain myth as we're is a complete lie, We don't have an unused 3/4 of our brain that we aren't lol. But we're definitely not using our minds to their highest efficiency. I'm starting to think that the subconscious is the "part of the brain we don't have access to". I read on some forum about how some kid said he practiced psychokinesis in his dreams and noticed an improvement in his waking life. It definitely has tons of potential.
