If information is what comes before atoms and molecules in the creative cycle, then the pen is indeed mightier than the sword. Language shapes cultures in its broadest sense. Language is what expression is. And expression of creativity is the first thing we did, once we had mastered survival mode. Expression in cavepaintings and music for starters.
And what if those pictures weren't just representations of reality, but in fact shamanic, ways to create a future reality more to your liking, then that means a huge leap in consciousness, in thinking.
So the succesful bearhunt drawn on the walls of your cave isn't about a bearhunt in the past, but a creation in the future.
If information is underlying everything, then drawing a picture in your mind, feeling it, experiencing it, means the "vibrations" you're emitting are also language, information. So we do create, consciously or not.
Expression in creativity seems to be a way of accessing that which is intangible, so as to have a conversation with it. And, if you like, you can tell it how you would like your next reality.
Another aspect of language: the thoughts I can think are limited to the vocabulary I can think them in. So the Orwellian newspeak takes on an entirely different meaning. It also means that new information can create changes in my ways of thought, because it can broaden my vocabulary. So in that way, there is an expansion of consciousness as a result of an expansion in words.
Do you have any thoughts about this?
