Vibrational chanting = pineal gland stimulation

Recently I've started chanting during meditation. After a little practice my throat vibrations can hit my brain. If its the right pitch I feel a strong tingling sensation in the center of my brain that can expand and reach throughout my mind and body. This is having amazing effects on my meditation and lucid dreaming.

Given the location where the vibrating starts, and the seemingly psychedelic effects of this practice, I'm guessing the sound vibrations are stimulating the pineal gland to release hormones.

For me this is starting to seem to be an invaluable tool, and I bet it could be reproduced technologically with speakers and such. Anyone else have experience with vibrational chanting?

I never tried this with lucid dreaming so i can't say that i've had success, but i'm gonna try this and see what happens, do you mean by chanting as in the form of a mantra? ANd how does it feel in your brain?

Yes I am using syllable mantras like Aum, So ham, etc... for me they are easiest to produce the correct vibrations. The key is figuring out how to get the vibrations to hit you internally. I had chanted in the past but was never able to get the internal vibrating, for some reason when I tried it recently I picked up on it real it quick.

Basically when you get the right pitch the vibrating becomes very loud, echoey, and seemingly internal. Then suddenly you start to get a tingling in the center of your brain, its kind of hard to compare, but its sort of like being tickled. After that the sensations spreads and produces feelings all over your body, plus I have seen HI a couple times during this. Afterwards I am extremely serene and happy.

I once had a very deep healing experience with chanting meditation. I was chanting overtones and also noticed how, by altering my chant, I could move the vibrations around my body to vibrate and so loosen certain stressed out, up tight negatively charged Energy-blockades.

I remember something that may be helpfull in your pineal stimulation chant.
All 7 Chakras have their own Chant. All 7 chakras deal with their own aspect of life. From bottom to top: 1)Root Chakra, 2)Sacral Chakra, 3)Solar Plexus, 4)Heart Chakra, 5)Throat Chakra, 6)Third Eye Chakra, 7)Crown Chakra

The 7 different chants vibrate the corresponding Chakras.
Chanting LLLLLHHAAAAAAWWHHMMMMNG will vibrate your Root Chakra
Chanting VVVVHHAAAAAAWWHHMMMMNG will vibrate your Sacral Chakra(Sacrum)
Chanting RRRRHHAAAAAAWWHHMMMMNG will vibrate your Solar Plexus
Chanting YYYYHHAAAAAAWWHHMMMMNG will vibrate your Heart Chakra
Chanting HHHHHAAAAAAWWHHMMMMNG will vibrate your Throat Chakra
Chanting AAAAAHHHOOOOOOHHMMMNG will vibrate your Third Eye Chakra
Chanting HHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMHNNG will vibrate your Crown Chakra

Obviously the Third Eye Chakra corresponds with the pineal gland. Being in the same position above and between the eyebrows in the center of the head.

So Chanting AAAOOOHMMMNNG might help since it vibrates and stimulates the Pineal gland.

Excellent.. didn't realize certain sounds corresponded to each chakra.

Must definitely be something to that, because it is mainly the Aum chant that I can feel where the third eye/pineal gland resides. I'll have to experiment with this and see if I can stimulate my other chakras as well. Great contribution SKA, sorry we've had our differences before, thanks for the information!

I moved this thread to Beyond Dreaming. I love vibrational chanting. Had a super intense experience with this the other night in fact on LSDXM, never experienced such powerful vibrations in my entire life, felt like my pineal gland was about to jump out of my skull...truly. Took out all the electronic equipment around me though. I wish that wouldn't happen. I worry about my laptop.

Now all I have to do is remember the feeling/wavelengths I was connected to, and I can stimulate the same effect, just not as powerful.

Thanks. Wow, I bet that was incredible to say the least. Hopefully my experiences become more profound as I continue to practice this. I'm pretty excited about it, I usually lose motivation to meditate frequently, but chanting makes it so interactive and powerful, I really look forward to it every day now.

One time when I was on a certain psychedelic...before I even practiced any sort of meditation or vibrational chanting or even knew that the different chakras responded to certain frequencies...back when I was still just learning what the chakras even were...I intuitively discovered that each chakra would start spinning or sort of "wake up" when I sang a note at a certain level or pitch. It was really amazing. I was just using the normal "do, ray, me, fa, so, la, te" ...except that I was tuning them to each chakra. I really really wish I recorded myself, because it felt like I had found the magical sound for each chakra. I might try this again soon, and actually record it so I can remember the exact pitch/tone/vibration and implement these on a daily basis for chakra awakening/cleansing.

(I also want to try the ones that SKA suggested)

That is awesome, if you do happen to make a recording it'd be cool to make it available for others on the forum, I know I'd be interested.

does that, then lend credence to electrokinesis?

This all sounds sort of like projecting when you're singing. You make the note come from your chest so that it is much louder. Depending on how strong your Diaphram is I'm guessing. There are easy ways of excercising the diaphram if you would want my help.

Is that sort of like what those Gyuto monks do? That really deep chanting? I've done that before...I was amazed my "voice" could get so deep. I actually recorded a bit of it but it's way too embarrassing to post lol.

      Here's what I'm talking about...

And tkdyo...yes...but that's another thread entirely.

I dont have experience with chanting so much but I know vibrating words in lucid dreams works really well. It makes the words feel like they travel through time and space while also being aware of your body at the same time, especially if you start to talk in your sleep. It's weird.

I used to vibrate words while doing the Middle Pillar Ritual and the LBRP in waking hours to practise alittle and then later in lucid dreams I would try to summon an angel by vibrating their name. Like calling up a DC I guess. But I didnt waste any time with the LBRP while dreaming and I found just vibrating the names worked really well.

Ya, I've only be able to do it a couple times but it was awesome. In one ld i was levitating in lotus position and flying around in rhythmic horizontal circles while chanting aum and it was vibrating the entire fabric of the dream scape.

I've heard chanting "AUM" can have interesting results in lucid dreams. The one time I went lucid, I tried it briefly. At first nothing happened, but then it started to echo through everything and I felt a sort of intense tension building...it became unpleasant real quickly so I stopped and went off to try and find me some tail.

Too bad my alarm went off just as things were getting good.

I've not tried vocalized mantras while meditating...mostly because I have nowhere private to meditate. I really want to try it now though.

Aquanina - have you tried recreating the note/chakra phenomena? That would be really fascinating to experiment with.

Wow! I have absolutely no experience with this whatsoever, nor do I know anything about it. It's something I'd really like to learn though.

When doing the vibrational chanting, in order to gain the full effect, is there a specific pitch you must hit? If so, do you just try a bunch of different pitches until you find one that resonates in a way that affects the pineal gland?

Also, as a musician, I know what overtones are, I just didn't know it was possible to create specific overtones just using the voice. How is that done? That's incredible.

it seems like its a specific pitch but I think there are more factors than just pitch, like speed, volume, throat and mouth position, steadiness, etc.. but pitch seems to be the primary culprit.

I also think your mental state helps, the more meditative state i am already in the easier it is to get the resonating effect.

You might benefit from watching other people do this on you tube. Search for...AUM meditation or something like that? Then maybe you can actually hear others do it or demonstrating it. I don't know specific terms to search for and sorry I don't have any links.

All in all, I think it is important to find a pitch/vibration that works best for you. Try a few different variations, you will probably find something that you feel more affinity towards. I think the different sounds/pitch will apply to different chakras, so you really can't do it wrong really. If you do find any interesting videos, please share them though. I might experiment with this later, if I do, I will record for you.

Oh yay! and just for good measure... *waves hand* you WILL record the vibrational chanting.

I've been doing a little bit of reading on it, and I think, if I'm not too busy getting hammered tonight, I will give this a whirl, even though I'm still excessively ignorant on the subject. This is so fascinating. I've been working on a number of concepts for research regarding things that are seemingly supernatural, but just within the realms of science. I will certainly include this once I know what I'm talking about. Thanks to the OP for sharing this.

Oh and if anyone else would feel so inclined, I'd love to hear anyone's recordings of this process!

      Awesome.

I'm a researcher/experimenter by nature as well. If you do happen across any good info on the subject please share it. I am new to it as well, but have just kind of jumped right in and found that it works without really understanding why.

Very cool, I've used one before. One way of using it is holding it in your hand, slightly outstretched. You feel the vibrations travel up your arm, and kind of hit you in the chest.

But it's actually a pleasant sound, probably because he plays chords or something

      Wow they are expensive.

I seriously might buy one of the less expensive ones (still around $50 though).

You don't need a huge set like that. A small one you can hold in your hand is ideal.
