How to get a spirit off the ouiji board?

So my cousin has a ouiji board, that we've been using for a while now. About 2 wks ago, we contacted a spirit that says he lives in my furnace room, and he won't leave! His name is Jake and he keeps on saying "we are three" meaning him, another spirit named crystal ( whom he said he killed in a car crash while driving drunk) and my cousin matt, who is alive. He says he wants matt dead, so he can join them. When we started on the ouiji board, matt was on my bed sleeping and it was me, my cousin britteny and friend steven on the board. Jake said crystal was in matts body. I said I was going to wake matt up, and it started to circle No, at a very fast pace. Then we woke up Matt, and immediately the board went to goodbye. Strange things have been happening and everytime we go on the board, it's jake. CRAZY THING. The day after we first started talking to jake, the same day as described above, matt got a picture book, that says " here lies matt" written on a tumbstone. We've labeled it as a strange coincidence, but it is still very freaky. We've tried to ask him to leave, but nothing is working. He says he will only leave when matt dies. We are leaving the board alone for a while, but any tips on how to get this spirit to leave? ( sorry for any spelling errors, I wrote this really fast )

Try ignoring the spirit from now on, if you want it to leave. Just do your best to forget it, and it'll probably get bored with you. I'd advise to leave the board alone. It's like using a portal, and you have no control over what spirits visit you, be they good or bad. More often than not, you're just inviting riffraff into your home.

yeahh I've been leaving the board alone and trying to forget it. I keep hearing noises in the furnace room though...which happens to be in my room. We've also captured a lot of orbs in my room. I want to cleanse my room somehow, but I don't know how to go about it. He says he's a demon, but when we put the cross on the board he likes it.

VERY bad stuff comes from ouiji board BELIEVE ME... me and a mate used it at 5 in the morning when we were at his place and we contacted a spirit that im afraid we let out, because when we finished using the board i had scratches all over my fingers on my left hand and something happened to my mate but i can't remember what (it was about 2 years ago), i went home that day and i felt as if something was sitting in the back seat and every time i looked back i would just feel this realy bad awkward sence... anyway stuff started happening when we got home, things where moving, me and my sis would hear a sort of child laugh... One night i was in bed and i heard this weird sort of banging/scratching coming from inside the wall and then i heard a little giggle so i jumped up and turned on the light and there were dirty hand prints all over that section of the wall!!! I ended up forgetting about the spirit and it left the house a few months later (or so i thought), one day i woke up with scratches all over my left hand again and i was thinking WTF so when i got to school i showed me mate and he said "you know why you have those scratches?" and i said no then he replied "because its beem exactually one year since we talked to that spirit" i just froze and we didn't talk about it ever since... This started around the 16th of march 2008 and then the scratches re apeared around the 16th of march in 2009 and im getting ready for them to re apear this year to... this isn't even bad compaired to what things you can let out of that board

It's all in how you do it. If you don't filter your spirits you will get the first scummy spirit that wants to have an Earth experience. You need to get in a high space first, and I don't mean smoke pot. You need to visualize a circle of white light around you all and maybe even trace a circle around you and say out loud that only positive spirits with good intentions for all involved are able to enter. When you are done with the ouija board you need to send them back. You need to ask or tell them to leave. Send them back to the light and close your circle. Then you need to ground your energy by washing your hands in cold water, drink a glass of cold water and touch the earth or squat down and feel the excess energy dripping off of you into the Earth. To exorcise this spirit all you probably will have to do is ignore it, it just wants attention. If that doesn't work tell it to leave firmly and that there is nothing for it here. Research how to do the banishing ritual of the pentagram. You can leave out the god names if you prefer, it is the intention that matters.

Good call, Dannon. From what I've come to understand about the theories behind negative beings is that they'll go away if you don't entertain them by retaliating or becoming frustrated. This thread is an example of why most spiritually "experienced" persons will tell you to avoid the horrid device known as the ouiji board. I've never heard anything good about them.

I think it'd be cool to find a positive spirit that you can chill with. but the chances of negativity are too high. My mom also banished ouiji boards cause she had things happen at her home when she was a child.

defygravity...you can either read about how to cleanse your house of bad spirits online or contact someone who will do it for you. I know some very spiritual people who do this sort of thing for free. So be wary of those trying to charge you money and such. I suggest to just research it online, do your own cleansing, and never touch the board again. It will lose interest and go away.

It is not the ouija board's fault; it is just a tool. It is not setting up proper boundaries. You can get positive entities, but I agree that there are better ways. Like dreaming. However, using the Ouija board with proper boundaries will be a good first step for your mind to be able to initiate contact. But please, set up proper boundaries psychically. Make sure your space is clean and cleansed. Use a high vibration incense like frankincense or copal, and cast a magick circle and make sure your intention is high.

I've never used one, and I don't plan to. I asked my dad if he'd ever used one years ago, and he said no and said he never wanted me to use them. Hey, i'm not planning to. I just want to say that they're dangerous, especially if you ask "is anybody there" because you are inviting anything through, which means negative forces too. Okay, you get professions who know a lot about it. But still I don't advise using it, there are other ways in contacting the afterlife, like dreaming! Seriosly I've read stories and articles about people visiting the hall of records and loved ones visiting people in dreams before they're about to pass on to say goodbye. I just wanna say, you don't want to attract negative forces or whatever can come through.
