Fourth-dimension, third-eye
Here is a link to a kind of guide which helps create a better understanding of what the 4D (spatial) is: http://eusebeia.dyndns.org/4d/vis/01...o_visualize_4D. I know, the fourth-dimension is time, as we live in spacetime, a 4D reality, really.
In the first part of the guide a dimensional analogy is introduced. Namely:
a 1D is a line, objects of 1D are lines, confined by points in 0D. 2D is a plane, objects in 2D being 2D figures, confined by 1D lines. 3D is a space, objects in 3D being confined by 2D objects.
From another point of view: we have 3D lens, but only 2D retina, thanks to which, however, we can quite well 'grasp' the 3D world. Theoretically, 2D creature would have a 1D 'retina', it's very simple, one can prove it easily by drawing it.
We really only see in 2D - thanks to certain data, such as light, shade, and so on, we're able to infer what going on in the 3D. However, our 'assumptions' (because, obviously, we don't see a chair, we only have an idea of a chair in our mind thanks to looking at the chair) are sometimes wrong and so optical illusions are possible.
Ayway... What I'm getting at?
I'll put it simply. I know it will sound far-fetched, because it actually is far-fetched fantasy of my own. I wanted to share it, though.;)
So... Analogically, to see 4D one needs a 3D retina, that was written in the source I gave a link to. We're just theoretically speaking: to see in 4D one would need a 3D retina, and 4D lens. Allright? I'm sure everything's clear.
And here, starts my crazy idea. Trying to apply the theory into practise. Let's assume we can see in 4D, we can project into 4D - we can see time, spirits, clairvoyance is real, astral plane is real, and so on. Assuming that, where is our retina?
The third-eye. Pineal gland. A 3D retina. 'Hamlet: Methinks I see my father, Horatio: Where, my lord? Hamlet: In my mind's eye.' Sheakspeare, 5 hundred years ago, wrote about that. Eastern philosophy has been talking about that for ages.
What's our lens? Frankly, I've got no foggiest idea.
Any comments on that?;)
