      Belgier's Workbook~

      The Workbook of Joey Belgier

      General information

A lot of y'all already know me, been around here since October 2011. I had quite vivid dreams during August, 2011 and when I saw something about Lucid Dreaming on Discovery Channel, I decided that I wanted to take control of my dreams.

I hope to accomplish multiple goals by joining the DVA. I do start exams this week though, which'll end by the 21st of June.

I have a little notebook in which I have written some dreams, merely in keywords. Since my recall sucks quite hard, I can't write down much more, yet if I have had a vivid dream and recall a lot, I tend to be too lazy to actually make notes of it.

      Short Term Goals
      • Improve dream recall
      • Obtain lucidity as fast as possible
      • Use these LD's merely for recreative purposes

      Long Term Goals
      • Become a frequent LD'er (every night if possible)
      • Use LD's to gain answers to life questions
      • Use LD's to gain creative inspiration
      • Relive WWII, have a WWII setting as main dream scene
      • Meet my DG

      Experiences

During my childhood, I had quite some sleep hallucinations and daydream hallucinations. I found it difficult to make a difference between reality and those hallucinations.

In the past half year, I had 3 LD's (I think). Two very short ones and a longer one.
When I just joined DV I had a few vivid dreams in which the DC's mentioned LD'ing a lot. I didn't get lucid because of that though. The only times I got lucid, I just knew it somehow, without a reason.

The first time that I tried WILD-ing, I did get as far as SP, but that was about it. Later attempts never worked out, at all.

      Dream Signs

      • Teeth (occur when depressed/stressed)
      • Certain places, not a very clear DS though
      • My girlfriend ex
      • School environment/people

      Already Achieved

      • Taste dream food
      • Teleport
      • Fly
      • Interact with DC's

Welcome to DVA Joey! I had no idea that there was something on the Discovery Channel about lucid dreaming. Man I'd love to find that video.

And no worries, we'll whip that recall into shape in no time

Hey, I think I've seen you around in the IRC before, never spoke to you though! Welcome to the class

@Ophelia: the Discovery Channel coverage on Lucid Dreaming is on YouTube: Lucid Dreams on Discovery Channel - YouTube

The best reason for having dreams is that in dreams no reasons are necessary.

No sailor controls the sea. Only a foolish sailor would say such a thing. Similarly, no lucid dreamer controls the dream.
Like a sailor on the sea, we lucid dreamers direct our perceptual awareness within the larger state of dreaming.

Well, due to exams and lazyness, my DJ isn't getting along -at all-, though even if I'd want to write something down, I lack recall.
I think I went at least semi-lucid this week though. Again, recall is a bitch and I'm not even sure.

May have to postpone this 'till I'm done with my exams.

One update maybe: I'm fairly sure busses are among my dreamsigns lately.

Hey Joey, if you need to take care of exams it's cool. This class will still be here when you're ready and have the time.

If you can get over the laziness, I don't think your exams necessarily have to affect your dreaming too much. Just take some extra time out before bed to relax and set your intent on dreaming, only requires maybe 10-15 minutes.
