Right then...past Christmas, I have managed to gain in my dream recall without using a journal, and I once had an incident with a Dream sign (which FRUSTRATINGLY didn't get me anywhere - I just reset my watch, and carried on with whatever I was doing...GAH!!!!!!!).
Well, my lack of progress was probably to do with A-level things - trying to force through doubt is a bit hard while doing Redox reactions ;) :P I will be able to dream Lucidly sometime: I'll just have to keep working.
Also, do you guys have any tips for moving on from dream recall? What should I focus on - signs/induction etc? I'm trying to find a way of using Pnemonics that works for me (having tried it before, by repeating to myself the mantra "I will have a lucid dream" and others along the lines of) - got any suggestions as to how I might improve it?

Better recall is good news. That will be the key for the future because recognizing you are dreaming is helped immensely by knowing what your dream world is like.
Remember to relax when eliminating doubt. It is simply a confidence that you will do your best no matter the outcome. Doubt will creep in almost all the time, but you have to remind yourself that you are doing it regardless of how it feels.
It would be a good thing to expand your recall practices a bit. Write your dreams in a journal, either that, or you could just remember them the day after and recall them as fully as possible. Doing both would be even better. The more you relive the dreams through recall, the better you will recognize the dream later.
After recall, you may want to start looking through different lucid techniques to figure out which one might be right for you. Most people naturally DILD, but that is not for everyone. My suggestion would be prepare to be lucid, and keep focused on knowing your dream world using recall, dream signs, and reality checks.
good work! :)
