illusionust's workbook
Hi! I am Luke, nearly 14, and a complete novice with LDs!
Reality Checks:
- Checking watch every hour, waiting a sec, and doing it again
- Attempt to breathe through my nose while holding it closed
- Counting my fingers
(And questioning why I think I am/am-not dreaming)
Dream Signs:
-Never found anything relatable. Yet
-
-
Short-Term Goals:
Outside of the dream:
-have at least one LD*
Within the Dream:*
- Go flying
- Teleport
- Telekinesis
- Talk down to my assistant principal
- Go to space
- Go hand gliding
- Ask my crush out in the dream (I am so bad with girls) *Highlight to read*
Long-Term Goals:
Outside of the dream:
-Have LDs at least once a month*
-Be able to remember at least one fragment a day*
Within the dream:
- Make up my own self defense method
- Do some fun free-running around a nice city
- Practice driving*
- Attempt to get rid of my height fear (NOT vertigo, don't have that) by falling from something and then forcing my dream "soul" to separate from my dream "body", realizing that death isn't as scary as it seems
- Improve social skills
Lucid/Dream Recall History:
- Currently: 1 Large portion of a dream, and 1 fragment per day
Current Technique:
- DILD, I guess
- SSILD (This one works with the bathroom problem)
- Soon to try DEILD the moment I wake up for another reason than to use the bathroom and I remember
-
Hey Luke, welcome to the class!
Nice workbook. I guess under LD/Recall history, you can just put how many dreams you remember on average. No matter how many or how few. Started a dream journal yet?

Welcome to the Class Luke :D
Nice start on your workbook, as far as what to put under the history section - What is your recall like? (1 dream per night, 1 a week, etc) Any Lucid dreams before in the past?
You have chosen totally attainable goals, which is great.
Be sure to post any questions :)

Hey Luke.. I am your father.
EHUHEHEUHEUHEUE
Welcome to the Intro Class!
As for your dream signs, this might come in handy in the future: http://www.dreamviews.com/general-lu...igns-read.html
I do have a little tip you might want to consider. When you do the clock/text reality check, you can do what I do:
1. I look at the text and read it.
2. I look away.
3. This is the important part! While I am looking away, I imagine and try to change the text with my mind. (I try to use different words so my brain doesn't become complacent with a certain word, which might not trigger lucidity anymore in the long run.)
4. I look back to see if it changes.
I think this would be more helpful because if we simply read a text and look away, we are still thinking about what the text was (because we try to remember it so we can compare it later) and since our dreams are formed from our thoughts, there is still a big chance that when we look back, it will remain the same due to what we are thinking.
Whereas if you try to change the text while looking away, it might provide a bigger chance to get lucid if the text indeed changes when we look back.
Hope this helps somehow, good luck!

Ok. I will start a dream journal right away! But I will probably post them weekly, b/c I wanna do other stuff on the forums (I do have a DJ in my home).

Excellent, weekly updates are good. You dont even have to upload all of them, if you want, you can just share the ones that are interesting for you or the memorable ones :)
