quorthonafull's workbook
Hi! I became interested in lucid dreaming three years ago and made an account here, but after three DVA courses I couldn't polish my skills and gave after 10 months with not so much success. Now, after some psychedelic and dissociative experiences my interest got launched up towards the sky again and I decided to start from scratch and give my best effort (in the past I was a bit lazy about RCs, WBTB and shit).
Reality Checks
Nose pinch
Finger through hand
Sleep schedule
I usually sleep from 1:00 - 2:00 am to 10:00 am. I was taking melatonin for a week, maybe 10 days, I won't take it anymore, at least not when I'm taking my first steps on LDing.
Dream signs
I haven't recongized any sign, my dream recall was close to zero until a few days ago. I'll look for them after having at least some pages written in my DJ.
Short term goals
Remember a couple of dreams every night
Attain lucidity at least one time per week
Train my stability/control
Long term goals
Find my dream guide
Become realy good at either DILD or WILD
Use the tools I'm getting to improve as a person
Accomplish TotM/TotY
Have fun during all this long way
Lucid/Dream Recall History
I had like 10 or 20 lucid dreams in a copule of years. Now I'm working to improve my recall, and started with a single dream yesterday and a couple today, all of these non-lucid. I starded my DJ today.
Current Technique
DILD and WILD

I won't record all my dreams here because is not so easy for me to translate them in detail (writing texts in english is not my best skill), just the most important ones (or when I notice a dream sign or something else worth mentioning). Speaking of dream signs, I noticed that in my dreams I tend to punch people (usually in their face) when I get pissed off or mad about something. I did that more than a couple of times in the past, and now, when I recovered just a bit of recall, it was one of the first things that came back with it.
I started to record my dreams in a real-life DJ, and the first day I got 4 snippets. I also was close to achieve lucidity via WILD (I'm following Windy's and Katsuno's guides), I got to the point when the dream scene was half way complete (and I remember a quite evil woman, like a black widow, being there) and then all just disappeared. But after all, I'm so happy to reach that point after my first night back on the road.
I'll have to set a specific short term goal, and since I haven't seen my friends in a couple of weeks, my first lucid goal will be to meet them and give a big hug to everyone (yes, we are like a bunch of super lovey cuddle puddle MDMA ravers).

My recall was awful during most part of the night, fortunately, at the end of the sleep I was able to recall two dreams. One involved a huge pack of free medical samples and 100 tianeptine pills, and the other was about a tropical paradise in the Caribbean.
I started to do RCs through the day and I'm trying to be more aware of my life.
-
That same thing happened to me today. I just recalled two dreams, during the last hour. One was about me and my father (second dream I am with my father) in a boat with an eccentric viking and his son, teaching us some ancient nordic techniques (?). The second one was about two (not so) friends of mine having a fight.
These two last night I went to bed a bit later than the two other days, (30 to 60 minutes of difference, to be exact). I'll go to bed earlier today to see if that is such a big difference or not.
-
I recalled just one dream fragment last night. I was in my room and received a phone call from my ex girlfriend. I don't remember the chat but she was quite angry. That dream was so bad.
-
Friday night I went to a friend's house and came back at around 7 am. My sleep was quite blissful (I took some dissociatives earlier in the night and 6 mg melatonin before going to bed) but no dreams were recalled. I recalles three dreams last night but I had no time to write them down in my DJ. Instead, I got some tags to trigger my recall and rewind all the way back to the start.
-
I took 3 mg melatonin and went to bed at 1 am. I woke up at 9 am via alarm and no dreams were recalled.
My recall is fluctuating a lot. Some days I can recall two or three dreams, and other days not even a single fragment. If things don't get better I think I'll have to change something (but I don't know what).
-
I'm so confused. I slept less than the last days and even that way I recalled a lot more, like 5 dreams. I am still recalling fragments when something triggers my mind. I also woke up in the middle of the night (I can't remember anything about waking up the other days) and had another close shot to WILD. I had a not so short chat with a friend, but the other senses didn't follow. Anyway, it was great!

I had good recall the last two nights. Neither of them were recordes in my DJ (the first one was a bit dark, with dreams about my ex-GF, and I didn't want to remember that, and the last one was a long dream where I saw my friends, but I had no time to write it down).
