Icyice's workbook
Hello there, I'm Icyice. I've been dreaming for a few years, but only recently have been more involved in it.
Reality Checks:
Looking at clocks (typically goes back a minute the first time, then much more the second)
Nose-Plug (not very reliable lately (sadly))
Jumping off of random cliffs
Dream Signs:
Don't know at the moment, have to look through my DJ. One of my favorite old ones was green apples.
Short-Term Goals:
Not sure exactly what I am aiming for, but a couple things:
Learn to fly
Learn to do magic (who wouldn't?)
Long-Term Goals:
Better recall
More lucid dreams
being able to WILD properly
Lucid/Dream Recall History:
Due to journaling off and on, I had a few over the past couple years, but a lot in the past 6 months.
8/8/11
3/5/13
6/3/13
6/14/13
7/8/13
7/24/13
8/3/13
8/5/13
8/18/13
8/22/13
8/27/13
... I could have sworn I had more before 2013...
Current Technique:
DILD mostly, trying to WILD on WBTBs
-
Anyway, wow, it's been a while, so I figured I may as well just start this over. I still don't believe myself to be good enough to post this anywhere but the intro thread.
Reality Checks:
Checking a Clock/Text
Nose Plug
Checking Hand for Oddities
Dream Signs:
Unsure at the moment.
Short-Term Goals:
Explore the dream world
Long-Term Goals:
Better recall
Better manipulation of the dream world
Lucid/Dream Recall History:
8/8/11
3/5/13
6/3/13
6/14/13
7/8/13
7/24/13

Dream recall is alright, but laziness hinders it greatly.
Current Technique:
DILD, but haven't had many lucid dreams
Anyway, I'll start this off with linking to my DJ today.
Lucid 15: of DQ, dorms, and water - Dream Journals - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views
Hope you find it all right.
-
Good luck on your adventures! :D
-
...
Yeah, I know I have a problem with keeping on track.
Anyway, an entry here.
-
And now for last night's dream(s). Money Supply, Water, etc... - Dream Journals - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views
I tried to WILD, but after staying awake for an hour I ended up giving up.
I did have some noise disturbance in the morning, so that may have caused some problems with that.
-
-
I lost all memory of the dreams I had last night. I then proceeded to sleep longer than I wished. I slept from 11:00 to 5:30, then dozed in and out from then to 8:40.
-
These past two days I've slept from midnight to 6:20 - 6:30.
I've been unable to recall more than a fragment these past three days.
I also tried WILDing again yesterday, but failed.
-
Latest entry for the last couple nights. A couple days of small dreams - Dream Journals - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views
My recall is a bit bad recently, though I blame that on that I only recently got back.
I've still yet to get another lucid dream. :sad2:
It's been a while, but I know I'll eventually get back into the swing of things.
-
I'm sure you'll get back on track soon. :)
-
Speak of the devil! Last night I finally had another lucid dream after 4 and a half months. :D
Lucid 17 - Finally! - Dream Journals - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views
Now I just need to keep this up.
I also had a few other dreams last night, but I don't have the time now to type them all down, so I'll update those later after work.
-
Way to go Icy! :) Congrats on the ld! Sounds like you had a lot of fun there.
-
Sorry, but work and school has been keeping me away from posting my dreams on this forum.
I'll probably update my DJ tomorrow or Saturday.
My dream count for the past four days has been 2,3,1,1. I've been getting to bed a bit late and that needs to be stopped.
I think that's all I wanted to say.
-
I lied about updating my dream journal Friday or Saturday.
Sorry, but I've been a tad bit busy lately with school, work, and Etrian Odyssey: Untold that I've found restating my dreams a second time online to be near the bottom of my list of things to do.
Nonetheless, here is my latest lucid dream from last night. Lucid 18 - Dream Journals - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views
-
No worries, Icy!
Congrats on the ld! Impressive dream control with the multiple scene changes. Also, I liked your dream's interpretation of the monster under the bed. :)

I know it's been a while, but I swear I've been keeping up with it. I started slacking for the first half of June, but I got back into the habit of writing in my Dream Journal. That's much better than when I used to fall out of writing in my Dream Journal for months at a time.
In the future, I probably won't be copying all of my dreams into my online Dream Journal, as it seems that would be quite a lot of busywork. Probably only major or fun dreams.
Last night I finally reached my 20th lucid dream. Also, it was the most dreams I had in one night, with it being around 5-6 dreams and one fragment/short dream. I didn't bother copying most of them over online, but I do have the lucid dream here.
Lately, I've been having troubles with getting to sleep at a decent time, without school moderating my sleeping schedule. As well, I've been having troubles with actually getting up to my alarms. Last night, I started using a much more annoying alarm, so that should help.
My next task for myself is to be able to do WILDs. I have on record that I've only ever completed one once ever before, but I'm a little suspect that I ever actually did it then. Either way, I suck at them. I seem to have gotten into the habit of losing consciousness while attempting them lately, instead of not falling asleep at all.
In all, that is my update.
-
Good job getting back on track with journalling and congrats on the 20th and totm! That was a really cool ld too! :)
Now that your sleep schedule is more flexible you should be able to fit in more wbtbs for even more lds.
-
Yep, and I've been trying to. I just lately fell into a habit of just falling back to sleep after turning off my alarm.
Either way, I have had two more lucid dreams since my last post, one on the 26th and the other this morning. I have today's down in my online dream journal here. It's a bit of a failure.
I've been trying to WILD, but have had no success so far.
-
Congrats on the lds! I see now what you mean by failure - taking a lot of time to be convinced by the RCs. This has happened to me a few times as well. Hope this is just a one off case and you will remember this experience if such confusion ever occurs again. On the brighter side, you came to complete several RCs. Lately, I've been thinking of dedicating one - two lds to just explore the difference between the two worlds and complete as many different RCs as I can remember. Hope this doesn't end with more confusion. :boggle:
