      Oakoi's Workbook

      Reality Checks:
      - Index Finger through Palm
      - Pinching Nose
      - Triple check time/text
      - Backtrack how I got to present location
-I give value to my RC's by doing ADA internal and external

      Dream Signs:
-Cobwebs/Spiders, I fear spiders in dreams ,but not waking life
      -Crumbling/Falling of Teeth
-Waking Life Past Friends as DC's
      -Driving is usually difficult
      -Inside a videogame
-School work (no longer in school)
-Locations,Schools My house, Gas station and Mall(s)

      Short-Term Goals:
-Creating Habits of Stabilization and remembering tasks
-Meet MY DG and other DC's
      -Visit the Sun
-Manifest an array of items of different sizes

      Long-Term Goals:
-Creating a balance in my life as a whole between Waking and Slumber life
-Creative Output whether it stays in My Slumber world or something I can Manifest in my Waking life
-Attaining enough knowledge to share and help others of benefits of Lucid Dreaming
-Create my own solid opinion and experiments of SD
-To have fun and enjoy the moments

      Lucid/Dream Recall History:
-I would say I have had around 10ish varied states of Lucidity.
First taste of it that I can recall was seeing my own art work manifested. It was a watermelon with
the meat(red part) replaced with water. I thought wait.... that's my artwork i've photoshopped for school.
The water immediately fell out of shape.
-Progress from that, I became lucid from staring at the ground. I remembered to stabilize the dream and the tremors stopped. I could feel
how materialized my hands were when I rubbed them. I tried walking ,but legs gave in and the dream faded.
-Nonlucid, They are clear as day and on occasion other senses besides sight is highly stimulated.
-Recalling , Always had an easy time remembering ,but has increased even better with use of a journal

      Current Technique:
I've Tested WILD,DEILD,MILD,WBTB,FILD (within a reasonable of times and not just a cluster lol)

WBTB and DEILD is most natural
I have had plenty of times I become lucid as i'm waking up.
I now have the habit of always having my eyes shut when waking up.

MILD, along with RC's I becoming more aware of strange things/ I stare at things longer
      FILD, no luck

WILD- Took awhile for my head to wrap around that ,but understand (feeling wise) through DEILD experiences.
Many trials ,but finally have a routine pretty solid for myself. The only thing left is the dream to actually form.
Sometimes I feel my mind/head is compressed and locked though I feel relax. I also get a similar feeling when losing
a dream if lucid so it's pretty related.

Thank you in advance for anyone who took the time to read this!

Hey Oakoi, welcome to intro class! Love your dream goal of visiting the sun, do you plan on doing something special there or just look around?

If you have any questions, feel free to ask here or in the http://www.dreamviews.com/intro-clas...o-class-q.html thread. Sweet dreams!

Thank you NyxCC! Sorry didn't see your reply. I shall be updating all my progress up to this point soon.
I still have to visit the sun. I want to view from up close and be able to partially feel the heat. lol Then
the goal of absorbing all or partial of it has been added xD

      Reality Checks:
      Quantity<Quality< Balance

At first I was doing 30 minute scheduled RC's. I question am I awake or dreaming. Sometimes I would rush or tuck in the back of my mind I'm awake. I would rub my hands and then try poking my finger through my palm. Then asking myself where was I before and does it make sense. Then go about business.

I thought it would translate me to do more RC's in my dreams. I did question things a bit more.
Also I started to slack because of the time.

At some point I thought why do we really RC? Is it to make us lucid? Is the quantity in waking life what matters to transfer into our dreams? Also that what if nothing really strange happens in waking life and so that's another reason I had a timer for RC's.

I understood I had to take another perspective because it was partially working. Then I stumble upon the idea of the quality of doing RC's also found ADA. I really already did some of those things naturally and so it was up my alley. I decided to assume I was Dreaming already and i'm just confirming that I am in a dream. My process, Close eyes and focus on selfawareness. Working from the inside out with my senses. Then I do my environment and open my eyes. I rub my hands and say,” wow this is a really vivid dream.” I'm stoked at this point ,but contain it. Then I perform an RC just to make sure it is a dream.

Meditation is what causes the balance. It creates a chance of doing a RC when nothing strange happens and it stops from doing mindless quantity of them.

This definitely made a world of difference.

      Now,
It seems like I haven't been able to focus on many things and just end up being distracted. I thought about doing timed RC sessions again since Meditation has quality. If I did time sessions I figure it would help me stay on track of the things I need to get done.

Then I had the thought, what if I replace “timed” and “strange events” with “distractions”?Essentially it would help me in two ways. I'll stay on track with my waking life activities. Then it can be viewed as staying lucid and preventing non lucid actions/thoughts.

How has it helped me in dreams?
I look at things that are really strange a bit longer and harder. Before there was no thought of anything strange.

They increase Dream Logic ( that's what i'm calling the “Impossible” things we are allowed to do within dreams). Finger through palm really puts it into perspective that it's a dream and waking life rules don't apply. It's in the balance between being crazy ,but not enough to destabilize or wake me up.

      Dream Signs

In the beginning of my journey in February is when most of my signs were happening.
Interesting is that I sometimes saw cobwebs with no spiders in sight.

Lol It's definitely harder to RC if I am in danger. I have reality checked while a spider was on
me and another time when I lost control of a car. I was too scared to actually focus on the RC.

Crumbling teeth happens once in awhile
DC's are random and not too frequent of certain ones.
Videogames, schoolwork, and driving were once in awhile as well.

Locations- Gas Station was only in the first month or two.
Otherwise locations are the best Dream Signs for me.

The three places: My house, school setting(Usually old high school), and mall setting.
Left to right is the order of most frequent to least.
If I really set my intentions on these places, I usually have a dream of them. Easiest is
definitely my house. Most of my successful WILDs have been in my house or near it.

I have noticed that when I go lucid that there are only 3 doors in my house that I know of.
Two for the back and One in the front. I still have to check the main floor bathroom door because in a nonlucid dream there was one, otherwise no doors anywhere else.

I haven't gone too deep with dream signs ,but I think I will.
I should look into actions and feelings.
I also haven't put as much effort of thinking of my dream sign locations on a regular basis. It usually has been on nights where I really intend to have a lucid dream.

      Short Term Goals

I stabilize my dream every time and have been able to remember tasks
What I need to do though is make sure I take my time. There moments where I take
my time and then another time I rush through. Sometimes I think I don't have enough time
      when I actually do.

Staring at hands, Rubbing Hands and Verbal Commands is my cup of tea.
I haven't stared at my hands in the last couple two and so i'll try that again.
      Rubbing hands definitely stabilizes.
Verbal Commands really anchor me in and clears up everything. If it doesn't then
a second verbal command clears the rest. My main one is “Anchoring In Lucidity Now!”
Back up is “100% Clarity Now!”
I wan to test this “100% Dream Logic Now!” I want to see if something will be easier to do.

Lol...Talked to my DG ,but it could be a troll. I've only talked to him on the phone.
I did ask him to send me someone to help with my DC and he did. I met a lady named Lisa
:O She reminds me of my friend's mom ,but isn't her. She taught me one of my main things
Though I haven't tried it out in awhile. I'll get more into my experience in another post.

I would like to meet some more DC's
I read someone's technique that I would like to try.
Put hand behind back and ask “DC's name” please hold my hand. Then should be able to
feel someone taking your hand and when turning around, they should be there.
I tried doing it ,but the dream wasn't very stable and so it didn't work. I'll definitely give it another go.

Also I read this chinese proverb: An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet regardless of time, place or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle but will never break.
I have thoughts that this may work too in finding specific DC's. I also have a thought of trying to use
this with shared dreaming. I'm stay ways away trying anything with SD though, but i'll keep it in mind.

Lolol I have two Suns in my dream world.
I'll start writing my lucid dreams soon. I still have to get to the sun. I've slowed down during the process of getting to it, rather them.

I've yet to try to spawn in items.
I'll try searching pockets for first time.
I would like to eventually spawn in items like Edward Elrich from fullmetal alchemist. Simplfied version is he claps his hand together and changes the structure of items to make them into something else.

I definitely have to write out my new list of things.
Been think this idea though. What if I really start at the fundamentals instead of
just doing crazy stuff lol? What if I work on each of the main senses Touch, smell, hear etc.
Im sure it will help with stabilizing ,but maybe even awareness. Perhaps it'll help with DILD as
in increasing the stimulation of my sense or noticing the lack of them.
If anything can see it helping anchoring in and prolonging a dream definitely.

Some very good thoughts there, Oakoi! I especially like the way you do your RCs, starting from inside out. Best of luck with your short term goals
