Hi everyone!
I'm back. I thought it would be good of me to have a place where I can make daily logs of my recall and progress, and get feedback from others, and maybe even provide it to others as well.
My current level:
I can usually remember at least one dream per night, but my recall has been significantly hindered by spring allergies. Its getting better now though.
My next goal is to develop the ability to wake up in the middle of the night after dreams to record them. I use a voice recorder, rather than a notebook.
Last night's dream:
I was in an electrified video game casino, with neon blue lights flooding the game floor. I was playing a Runescape-esque game where I was commanding a character to run through a dungeon on a map, with the added twist that the character had to go to the bathroom, and I was directing him there. It turned out the character actually represented a real person, and that the character/person couldn't go to the bathroom unless I commanded the character to wait in the bathroom for a prolonged period of time, rather than the usual video game "Complete Action" button.
....yeah. Not very much detail, but last night was the first night in a while that I've tried.
Hoping to improve!
My current training regime:
1. Attempting dream recalls after I wake-up.
2. Using affirmations to get myself to wake up after dreams in the middle of the night.
3. Reality Checks: Doing a finger through hand and text-checking reality checks every time I walk through a door.
I actually had this fortunate experience a few weeks back where I spontaneously became lucid without a reality check and said, "Aha! Let me now test the efficacy of my text-checking reality check in determining whether I'm in a dream!"
I found that with checking, and re-checking, (and possibly re-re-checking) text, my observations agreed with previously mentioned figures on dreamviews that a double-check will show a change around 67% of the time, and a triple-check will show a change around 90% of the time.
